You have Judge that oversees the trial. Then you have a prosecutor and a Defense attorney both prosecutor and defense attorney have input as to who sits on the jury. That jury hears the prosecutor present evidence of guilt, the defense attorney present evidence of innocence and then the jury deliberated as to guilty or not guilty. That’s not a kangaroo court.
