Once again, you are entirely mistaken. I suggest you do some real research before you see yourself as an authority on matters of religion or for that matter history. Good luck!

Also are you aware of the violence which ensued as a result of seperate beliefs during the foundation of the US. as well as the violence which occured in England due to the seperate beliefs of Protestants, Catholics, and Quackers ? The only thing that varies between the Koran, Torah, and the Holy Bible is the name in which God is called by. Nobody knows the true name of God as somebody along the way in re-writing the Holy Bible has taken that out. The Koran recognizes much of the New Testament and has many identical stories concerning
Christ. The only differance is the Koran recognizes jesus as a prophet and another prophet was Muhammad.

All of the three monotheiastic religions share a common acronym ( WAR ) we are right. Over the last 2000 years words and t***slations may have gotten mixed up but all three Holy Books are esentially the same check it out. I do not know what point you are missing. Your wife can not be half Jewish. It does not a matter if her parents were married or not. You are either Jewish or you are not Jewish; there is no 50/50. The Torah, which is the law, says that she is not Jewish. No way around it. She is a Gentile.

Again, there is no such thing as half Jewish! The original and current Jewish definition of a born Jew is someone whose mother is Jewish. Even though the Torah forbids a Jewish woman to marry a Gentile man, if she does, her children will still be Jewish.

The Torah also forbids a Jewish man to marry a Gentile woman, and if he does, his children by that woman will not be Jewish.

Many of the Christian celebrations are masks for pagan holidays. Why the fuss over Easter Bunnies? It’s no coincidence that the two most important Christian holidays were once two of the most excessive displays of pagan revelry, characterized by behavior that was specifically forbidden by God. Christians refused to celebrate either of these holidays for over 400 years, but they have now been accepted to a point where to question them invites ridicule.

As far as the Lord’s birth is concerned the actual date is unknown, although an early fall time frame seems most likely. The way the holiday is celebrated is another matter. The commercialism, over indulgence, and prominence of pagan symbols like evergreen trees, mistletoe, and Santa Claus (an all knowing, Omni-present father figure who rewards kids based on their behavior) should cause Christians to cringe.

Where Easter is concerned, the very name comes from the Babylonian fertility goddess Ishtar, and the main attractions are eggs and rabbits, which are symbols of fertility. Contrary to the day of the Lord’s birth, Resurrection Morning is well known. It happened on the Jewish Feast of First fruits which falls on the first Sunday morning after Passover. It’s by far the most important event in human history and deserves our full attention in a heart felt expression of praise and thanksgiving. We might be able to convince God that we didn’t know the date of His birth, but we have no such excuse with His resurrection. It’s a good thing we live in the Age of Grace.

LOL Christians are the ones who should be offended! Easter should be the most important day to Christians, and yet we still celebrate the rites of spring, and a host of fertility rituals and symbols. Eggs? Bunny Rabbits? What does that have to do with the resurrection of the Savior?

Who cares what Muslims think? Christians should be upset!

What a statement. I got all the way to the bottom and sadly, I was drinking water and now that water is all over my computer. There is no such thing as half Jewish. Part Jewish” may be accurate genealogy but Judaism isn’t genealogy. You may ask, how do I know. I am Jewish!

Ordinarily I would link this to a specific poster, but this time I will just put it out there for everyone to stone. First, there is nothing in the Constitution that separates church and state. Many people have alreay stated this fact. The phrase "separation of church and state" is derived from a letter written by President Thomas Jefferson in 1802 to Baptists from Danbury, Connecticut, and published in a Massachusetts newspaper soon thereafter. In that letter, referencing the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, Jefferson writes: "Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof", thus building a wall of separation between Church & State." I believe this is where most people get the notion that the Constitution is the foundation for the separation. The notion has been discussed and debated, indeed The United States Supreme Court has referenced the separation of church and state metaphor more than 25 times, though not always fully embracing the principle, saying "the metaphor itself is not a wholly accurate description of the practical aspects of the relationship that in fact exists between church and state". In Reynolds, the Court denied the free exercise claims of Mormons in the Utah territory who claimed polygamy was an aspect of their religious freedom. The Court used the phrase again by Justice Hugo Black in 1947 in Everson. In a minority opinion in Wallace v. Jaffree, Justice Rehnquist presented the view that the establishment clause was intended to protect local establishments of religion from federal interference. Rehnquist made numerous citations of cases that rebutted the idea of a total wall of separation between Church and State. A result of such reasoning was Supreme Court support for government payments to faith-based community projects. Justice Scalia has criticized the metaphor as a bulldozer removing religion from American public life.

The policies under the ACA are much more expensive, they reduce choices in hospitals and doctors, many MDs will not see those who try to use them, the deductibles are much higher, they will lead to bankruptcies and death as the true effects and costs sink in. Those who get subsidies will not complain so much, at least until they try to use them, but those people are getting coverage using MY money and I DON'T LIKE THAT! Let them go to Medicaid, it was always available to them.

However the ACA is not the only way to get coverage if you have the means to pay for it. Simply go where you always went, to the Health Insurance companies. They still offer compliant plans to individuals for less cost and lower deductibles than does the ACA.

The free market still works so long as the government keeps its greedy hands off it.

Yes, I do wonder why your area has so many problems. Where I live, all the Jewish people I know are Orthodox. We all attend the synagogue every week, unless illness makes it impossible. None of the Jews I know eat forbidden foods and all of our children attend Hebrew schools. So, perhaps it is a regional problem or perhaps it is because people in California lost their way a very long time ago. Was it not long ago that a nurse allowed a woman to die because she refused to perform CPR, even though there was no DNR? Is it not California Fewer than 4 in 10 California high school students are completing the requirements to be eligible for the state’s public universities? I could go on, but I am sure that you can see that perhaps it is the neat little bubble of California where you live that has problems and not the rest of the nation.

Any questions as to why 90% of American Jews are not orthodox???

Any questions about why only 20% of American Jews attend synagogue weekly?

Any questions as to why most American Jews' eyes glaze over at the mere mention of Hebrew school?

Lastly, any questions as to why you can much more easily find Jews eating shrimp or pork, in an Asian restaurant on the sabbath, instead of walking to temple???

I do pay taxes..... my tax bill is larger than most people's annual income and I am talking about the upper class income. I do not mind paying my taxes and I do not mind supporting the old. As a fact, none of our old in my family will ever be in an old folks home or have to pass away without a loving family member at their side. We pray for them, we respect them and indeed our care for them is not an obligation as much as it is a desire for them to know how much they have given and how much we appreciate their sacrifices.

I will not attack you the way you did me, so give up. Many people have tried to make me angry and you are an amateur compared to most. However, I will say that you picked an appropriate id!

What a nice and wise person you are, of course those old people have no rights! Why should you feel any obligation to the people that worked all their lives, that changed your dirty diapers, fed you as a child, provided for your education....how dare they now want a moment more of life.

I did not hear that God had passed away and put you in charge of determining what your grandparents deserve. Thank you for that heads up, now that you are in charge...I have some requests for you the new god. First can you reduce the number of fowl mouth disrespectful kids in this world? Perhaps a flood or something like that, or just nuke them! All you would need to do is hit Disneyland and government owned apartment buildings and the welfare offices. Then can you do just one more thing? Perhaps make a commandment that reads something like "Honor your father and mother, so that you may live long and well in the land your God has given to you." Perhaps send a prophet that will say something like "But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God." Thanks in advance.

Yes, I lose $2500 that I send to Medicare/Medicaid, for people that so far want more than they deserve for their health care needs. It seems that the bad choices young people make aren't as bad as the choices that old people make. I say if you're going to complain about insurance you need to understand the burden that you place on the rest of us, especially when life being extended beyond the necessary...we have an epidemic on our hands..it's called old age...
