I am tired of hearing about gerrymandering.
Both parties have, and do do it, but it only seems to become a major issue when democrats lose e******ns.
I would rather do away with parties, pacs, corporate money, media bias, and just have people, supported by people running on their own ideas, qualifications, and merits. A pipe dream, I know.
I go on what I observe, and experience in life, not what I'm told is true. And from my observations, and experiences, I truly believe that American politics, and possibly America herself is fkd.
It's the money, plain , and simple. And I see it worse from the left, who wants complete control. I don't know anyone on the right who wants to dictate, or censor speech, or thought. Or wants to tell you what your kids should be forced to learn at school, or what they can eat, say, do, or think to be accepted.
I'm damn sick, and tired of being told that I don't have American values, and that I'm not a patriotic American because I don't want your 30 year old boy who thinks he's a girl in the bathroom with my wife, daughter, or granddaughters, or that wetbacks bringing drugs across the border that can k**l the if they make a bad choice, or not believing everybody should get a trophy makes me against a strong America.

I am a Texan, and you "patriots" can kiss my ass if you think you can dictate to me what my values will be!!

Guns are k*****g an average of 96 people per day, and that includes suicides, justified shootings, etc. Democrats find that unacceptable????

On the other hand, about 125,000 murders of unborn babies are carried out by being torn apart with forceps, or having their heads crushed by forceps. Democrats find that completely acceptable!!!!!!

As long as someone is getting paid to murder humans, and might contribute some of that money to democrats to keep the laws that allow their getting paid big bucks for murder, .... democrats will fight for the right of doctors to k**l the innocent unborn humans for money, and thereby get some of the blood money for their next e******n. Hypocrites? Definitely!!!

Well, the only thing I've heard from the right in terms of solutions is that everyone should carry guns and if you don't have a gun then you should charge the shooter--apparently, that was Fox's brilliant observation today. The problem with everyone packing is that there are simply too many nuts out there so putting a gun in their hand and have them look out for trouble is inviting trouble to happen. Now, suppose you don't ask everyone to carry a gun and it's just 'designated' individuals who will be armed--such as with our school system. So how do you establish uniform procedures to weed out the quacks from those who should be carrying a weapon without running the risk of putting a gun in the wrong person's hands who may well become the one causing the trouble and not protecting the children? And if luck holds and everyone who is carrying a gun checks out then the police are still going to have to weed out who is and isn't the shooter. So if nothing else, by having armed civilian you are slowing down the response time that the police and giving a shooter more time to k**l or to escape.

As for the second amendment--it was written because the founders saw one of the greatest dangers to our democracy a free standing army and a despots ability to use it against the citizenry. That was what King George used to suppress the colonialists which is why we were to have a system of states m*****a that could be called up by the governor at the first sign of danger but otherwise could present no danger to the citizenry. This is why they were to be well regulated because a system of m*****a governed by themselves might or might not come to the aid of their government when they were called. But you guys have pissed all over the meaning of the second amendment. Not only do you love a free standing army, you conservatives only complaint is that the military isn't large enough, big enough, or bad enough.

What you guys don't seem to understand though, and what the founders did, was that if there was no military to threaten you then no despot that could possibly suppress you. But we do have a free standing army, plus a US Marshal, the FBI, the ATF, HLS, the national guard, the state police, local police, and any number of private security organizations. Which begs the question of why you need military style weapons? It's not because of the constitution because you've surrendered the original function to the military. So what purpose do you have for military-style weapons--so you can pretend that you are protected from an Obama wannabe? That would seem so...

I think there is much we could learn from this e******n. First, we are US Citizens and we v**ed.... our system works! Now it is time to pray for those elected, even if you did not v**e for them.... pray that Our Father will bless them with wisdom, patience, and they may find within themselves to do the right thing for us, the US citizens, that they become mute when they open their mouths to lie or abuse the position we entrusted to them. Pray also for our President so he can continue making our nation great.

A quickie...not responding to anyone in particular.

Does anyone remember the movie Airplane. The bit where the two black men were trying to order their dinner and the stewardess couldn't understand the slang. Beaver's mom, Barbara Billingsly stepped in and said, 'I speak jive'. And proceeded to t***slate. Very funny hearing Beaver's mom speaking jive.
Anyway, I worked with hundreds of black people for about three years on my job, and was friends with a lot of them. When it was just them and me, one on one, I could understand them pretty well. But when one or two more b****s joined us, suddenly I could hardy understand a word. To me, that was their way of being 'kept' in the black race, of saying,'Yo, I is a black mayn.' Thing was, if they wanted to borrow money, I could understand them perfectly. LOL I still see some of them occasionally and I always get a hug from them.

You mean, it will take years to run jobs back out of the country, put millions of people back on unemployment, utterly redestroy consumer confidence and make the border a veritable Autoban of foreigners racing into the country to drop anchor babies, sell narcotics, rape, steal, k**l, drain the social services system, create mayhem, steal jobs (under the table), sending more hundreds of millions of dollars out of our economy via remittance incomes to the "folks back home" and commit terrorist acts?

What patriots you people are. You should really be proud to call yourselves Americans with a straight face.

Animation: The World’s 10 Largest Economies by GDP

Here is a colorful visualization that breaks down the $80 trillion global economy.

While such a view provides useful context on the relative size of national economies, it’s also a static snapshot that doesn’t show any movement over time. In other words, we can see the size of any given economy today, but not how it got there.

Today’s animation comes to us from Jaime Albella and it charts how GDP has changed over the last 57 years for the world’s 10 largest economies.
It provides us with a lens through time, that helps show the rapid ascent of certain countries and the stagnation of others – and while there are many noteworthy changes that occur in the animation, the two most noticeable ones have been described as “economic miracles”.

Japan’s Economic Miracle

You may have heard of the “Japanese economic miracle”, a term that is used to describe the record-setting GDP growth in Japan between the end of World War II and the end of the Cold War.
Well, the above animation shows this event better than pretty much anything else.

In 1960, Japan had an economy that was only 10% of the size of the United States. But in just a decade, Japan would see sustained real GDP growth – often in the double digits each year – that allowed the country to rocket past both the United Kingdom and France to become the world’s second-largest economy.

It would hold this title consecutively between 1972 and 2010, until it was supplanted by another Asian economic miracle.

Economic Miracle, Part Deux

The other rapid ascent in this animation that can be obviously seen is that of China.
Despite falling off the top 10 list completely by 1980, new economic reforms in the 1980s and 1990s helped pave the way to the massive economy in China we know today, including the lifting of hundreds of millions of people out of extreme poverty.

By 1993, China was once again one of the world’s largest economies, just squeezing onto the above list.
By 2010 – just 17 years later – the country had surpassed titans like the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and even Japan to secure the second spot on the list, which it continues to hold today in nominal terms.
