Now I totally disagree with you on Trump's liability, but for argument's sake lets us go with your assumption. If he has criminal liability if he resigns, what would make him do that ? If he is liable, the incentive is to stay in office for as long as possible. But, but, but, what if Democrats offer him a deal to go and not be prosecuted ? First Democrats wouldn't do it, second it wouldn't stand up.
So again, I ask what is your logic ? People do what is in their perceived best interests, usually. Guilty or not, how does it benefit Trump to resign ? You make no sense.
