Not to mention when the financial crisis of 2007 2008 and 2009 that was created by the republicans thru deregulation of the banks screamed and yelled like children when Obama put a stimulus package together and they fought like hell to stop it. They screamed about bailing out the Auto industry. But they were for creating a subsidy for the banks that created the Bush recession. Now the republicans have created the largest stimulus package of over $2 trillion dollars and not one Republican has opened there mouth. McConnell blames democrats, for blocking the bill because McConnell wanted to hand Donald Trump $545 billion slush fund for Trump too spend on wh**ever he wanted and way to track where Trump was spending these tax payer funds.


Now we are listening to old people are willing to die so Trump can loosen restrictions on the economy. Actually Trump can’t lift restrictions because he never took any action it’s the Governors in all 50 states that issued lock downs but when Trump governs through ignorance he thinks he can. What can I tell someone who insists she knows that a Canadian friend had to wait four weeks to have a broken arm set? This is why she doesn't want universal healthcare in the US. She feels our healthcare would be so much poorer.

Jeez, tell them to stop drinking Kool Aid.

My nephew broke his arm badly. Not just a simple fracture, needed an orthopedic surgeon. Was referred to one and saw him the next day.

The amazing part? This happened in a remote town of about 10,000 people. With no orthopedic surgeons. So our health care system flew my nephew about 600 km away to the nearest children’s hospital with an orthopedic wing for his surgery.

His parents did drive him twice back to the children’s hospital for scheduled follow up visits but he also saw his local GP meanwhile who kept a close eye on his progress. Never saw a bill for any of it.

Now think, what would have happened in the US if this kid didn’t have health insurance?

Honestly, I am past caring what Americans do with their health care but suspect there is some serious misinformation being spread by large corporations who are very afraid of what would happen to their bottom line if Americans adopted even a modified universal health care system.
