As I told you before, young lady.....if God wasn't a Longhorn, why does he make the sunrise and sunset turn "burnt-orange?" Obviously, He/She knows something!
Are you saying He/She doesn't have good taste in colors?
And......stop blaming the "evil genie"...I think you just enjoy irritating me! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Well,, tonight the burnt orange showed up in the form of a pumpkin, losing 6-1!
The girls were flat. Even though they outhit the cross-town
opponents 6-3(?), they could not combine them in any inning. St. Edwards got six runs in the 4th inning, I believe, on 1 hit, and 4 Longhorn errors, and a walk!
We mishandled many infield grounders, and made throwing
errors. We deserved to lost, and did.
The silver lining was that Lauren pitched 2 and 2/3s innings, and shut them out with only one hit, and 5 K's.
She now has 11 or so innings, without giving up a run, and only 2 hits.
It was an exhibition, and I hope our seemingly cavalier approach to this game will wake them up. They have to live with losing to a cross-town rival for 6 months, 'til we play them for real! We will remember this one.
Two weeks 'til the next "exhibition" game...Oct. 24th.
Hopefully, we'll put on a better exhibition!
