Hmmmm-several of the posts demonstrate ignorance on a colossal scale-as in gigantic! Right on 'mael' you hit it dead right! All programs that serve the public-as the 'many' are SOCIALIST! The United States is and has always been a SOCIALIST nation. So some food for thought-TAXES are from the many -to help the many-heh-heh-heh-what could be more 'socialist'? So how about the rich pay some! And one more thing-capitalism is an ECONOMIC system operating within a Democratic system of government. Maybe we need to replace an economic system that has as its central philosophy a credo that 'says" make as much money as you can-any way you can-from whomever you can- and keep it! Capitalism does not share-as evidenced by the 'non distribution' of wealth in America. The same people 'telling' America the ACA is 'bad' and a 'failed program' are the very people with the most to lose. Insurance companies and doctors and hospitals simply-DO NOT want competition in any shape form or fashion. Medicine has become a business embracing capitalism-as in selling 'something' to make MONEY--not providing medical services. Sad but true!

Not ALL in the medical profession are as you state. Some are very caring, and want to do what is right for their patients. My doctor is a good example. I do agree with your opinion about Insurance companies, but a few hospitals are in REAL healthcare providers with reasonable rates......unlike the obummer-care government controlled healthcare, which reaches into every part of our privacy, and therefore every part of our lives.

There is no such thing as "obummer-care government controlled healthcare." Our existing system of private insurance carriers offering healthcare insurance to private citizens remains intact. You still purchase from them. Unless of course, you are low income and are required to join medicaid, or are over 65 and purchase parts of medicare. And as to your point about privacy, that's a non-starter. You have no privacy. You haven't had any privacy for decades. The government, corporations and direct marketing organizations know every little detail about you. In just a few clicks online, I can buy in depth details about you, your house, how much you owe, what guns you own, what food you buy, what car you drive, what diseases you have, what taxes you pay, how many children you have, and so on.

You got a point, I think Bush has always been polite in his comments to or about President Obama. Also Obama to bush personally, not so much everyone else...

BUDDY WHO IS JOKE HERE THE JOKE IS ON US NOT TED CRUZ. THE CREATORS OF THIS BAD LAW EVEN SAID IT IS A TRAIN WRECK. THIS IS WHY OBAMA IS FIGHTING SO HARD HE WANT THE ECONOMY TO FALL. TED HAS IT RIGHT.

Hey, this is good to know. The creators of OC are the joke? So, that means the Heritage Foundation and Mitt Romney are the butt of the OC joke? Hmmm, so, since Romneycare became the blueprint for Obamacare that makes OC the "trainwreck"?

Dr. Robert Emmet Moffit, of the Heritage praised Mitt Romney for establishing a consumer based market where everyone could find affordable health care coverage, and now that it is in the hands of President Obama it has become a "trainwreck", "dangerous", "needs to be delayed", "it will kill children, women and seniors"! And the list just goes on and on.

There are so many hypocrites involved in this saga that it is difficult to know where to begin. I'll just start with Jim DeMint, since he left the U.S. Senate last December to become the president of the Heritage Foundation, after failing to make OC President Obama's "Waterloo".

RomneyCare vs. ObamaCare - Which Is Better?
http://www.boston.com/lifestyle/health/health_stew/2012/08/romneycare_vs_obamacare_which.html

I lived in MA when RC became law, and no one tried to shutdown the government, and there were no "crazed lunatics" running around holding up signs saying "Recall Mitt Romney" or "Repeal Romneycare". Even MA Gov. Patrick Duval, a Democrat, is praising Romneycare for giving 98% of his constitutents healthcare.

And the biggest hypocrite of all is Mitt Romney. He and Paul Ryan campaigned on repealing Obamacare after his administration worked with Obama and the WH on creating it. Wow, seriously, how do you think that make the people of MA feel? After sticking them with a healthcare insurance that was used as a "blueprint" for OC and now he is repealing it. Unbelievable!

Speaking of hypocrites, maybe you should check out http://www.americanbridgepac.org/. Yep, we are keeping track of them, and there are many.

That "trainwreck" the right keeps comparing OC to is going to become their own party. Albert Einstein said that "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

THIS TRAINWRECK IS THE PARTY ON THE RIGHT
THIS TRAINWRECK IS THE PARTY ON THE RIGHT...

AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED OBAMA TRIPS AND GOLFING IS JUST A EXPENSE THAT WE CAN DO WITH OUT. HE LIKES TO DEAL WITH HIS MUSLIM FRIENDS AND SELL US OUT AS A CHRISTIAN NATION. THEY HAVE NO PLANS OF CURBING THEIR SPENDING AS LONG AS THEY CAN COME TO THE MONEY TREE FREE OF ANY CONSEQUENCES.

Hey godisreal-lying is against the 8th commandment. Obama paid all their own personal expenses on vacation.

You are a anti-Cuban bigot!! See, I can make statements without any backup of my words too. Why don't you tell us why Cruz is a joke?

He is a joke (but the joke is on the TP'ers) because shutting down the government did not stop Obamacare, but it did put a lot of money in his pocket from political contributions of the TP'ers he lied to about being able to stop Obamacare. Im laughing...if he runs for president (oh please, oh please) Hillary will wipe the floor with him. Even if he does not become the eventual nominee he will pull the repug candidate so far to the right he will guarantee a democratic win. Actually, as a democrat, I think Cruz is the best thing that ever happened to democrats, (and maybe cartoonists and comedians) but one of the worst things that ever happened to American.

Sorry to disappoint, don't mean to rock your world, but what I said is absolutely true. We have a Federal republic government but inside that we have social programs, one being social security. You don't have to have the word social to be social. Another words many public programs we have running are also social.
Yes dictators can use social programs too as Hitler did when he implemented a form of social healthcare for "his" people that he protected. There is no need to get so angry at me, or insult me.
The point of a forum is to have a conversation, not to end the dialog before it begins with pointless insults.

* Republicans think Congress should live under the same laws as everyone else while Democrats think Congress should be exempt from the laws they pass for everyone else.

So far, the Republican Party hasn’t taken any damage, while the Democrats have taken votes that will cost them seats next year. So, Ted Cruz’s strategy is working out great so far. Now, we get to see if Boehner can capitalize on all the mistakes the Democrats are making or whether he’s just not up to the job of being Speaker of the House.

yes the Democrats are for the ACA and the Republicans and the Tea Party are against it

the Republicans first tried to defund Obama Care , when they saw that wouldn't work they tried to delay it because they expected the president to give in to their demands and he didn't,now the teaparty and the republicans are at a loss as to what to do and the Democrats also believe there needs to modification to the ACA but not this way but as a separate open discussion in congress not as an instrument of blackmail

Exactly right, blue jacket-you cannot negotiate with terrorists or crazy people. Open the government, change the laws you do not like through legal channels.

reread the article here that u posted, it said for personal use. We paid for them to take airforce 1 and the protection of the men that went with him which is before u even go there, is normal. So what is personal use here, they do not state what that is. We paid for the housing their and many other things. Please read carefully what u read. TAXPAYERS DID NOT PAY FOR THEIR PERSONAL USE. THE KEY WORK HERE IS PERSONAL.
