* Republicans are against Obamacare while Democrats are for it.

* Republicans tried to delay the law to give them more time to work out the problems, but Democrats said the law is flawless now and didn’t need to wait.

* Republicans tried to get rid of the busines- k*****g medical device tax, but Democrats v**ed to keep it in place.

* Republicans think Congress should live under the same laws as everyone else while Democrats think Congress should be exempt from the laws they pass for everyone else.

So far, the Republican Party hasn’t taken any damage, while the Democrats have taken v**es that will cost them seats next year. So, Ted Cruz’s strategy is working out great so far. Now, we get to see if Boehner can capitalize on all the mistakes the Democrats are making or whether he’s just not up to the job of being Speaker of the House.

The details of the Affordable Care Act should not be attached to legislation to keep the rest of the government paid for. This is something that should be taken up as part of the regular Congressional agenda. There are probably things that should be changed in the Affordable Care Act, as it was passed in a hurry with a lot of last minute amendments attached to it, and it was being v**ed on by people who had never had time to read it in its entirety.
Having said all that, it is good to remember that all indications point to a desire on the part of those who tied the defunding of Obamacare to the continued funding of the rest of the government, to do deliberate damage to the country. It is for that reason that we can surmise that if Obama were to make concessions now on the Affordable Care Act, that the Tea Party would move on to some other issue, and use that other issue to hold a gun to the head of the rest of the country and do more damage. There is every reason to believe that the shutting down of the government has been a primary objective of the Tea Party throughout this entire episode.

Again--too many people not paying attention to reality. The Republicans are only offering to meet and discuss more demands. The have (and nothing has changed) v**ed to k**l ACA 43 times. What they really want is a 'meeting' where the Dems 'capitulate' to their demand to k**l the ACA-in exchange for passing the/a budget. And the Dems already agreed to compromise, multiple times. What do you think 'caused' the administration to exempt business-duuuh-- a compromise? What do you think the sequester is? What do you think the agreement is regarding the total budget amount. The Tea Party has no intention to agree to any 'compromise'-and they won't even accept YES for an answer when they get it! . They intend to dismantle our government and Democratic institutions piece by piece-law by law! Are you listening to their speeches? Wake up America -Ted Cruz is an enemy of the working class and the nation. Hmmm-is it treason to openly work AGAINST the laws of the country? The ACA is the LAW-passed by Congress (BOTH houses) and ruled 'constitutional' by the 'highest' court in the land. All this blather about the public not wanting a 'failed' program?
