There is a glaring problem with these statements........

It becomes obvious that perhaps millions of people will not sign up for the health care bill, the savings per year for three years covering a lot of medical costs, like for a hospital visit. Moreover, people who do not file income taxes, 50% of the nation most likely won't even have to pay a fine. The bottom line.... the health care bill resolved nothing except it will be a substantial drain on middle income wage earners, the middle class getting hit the hardest. I hope someone can tell me I'm wrong. We will probably end up with more uninsured then we were before the law. Democrats are the ones to blame for this shut down, trying to shut down our throats something that we don't want, a law that doesn't accomplish what it is purported to do, except to hurt more Americans, Obama's objective ever since taking office, the 170% increase in spending since taking office the best examples, Obamacare just an extension of the same.

...tell me something Dave...you do know that the democrats proposed a compromise on this and were rejected 18 times by republicans over the last year, right? I mean, even in the bubble world, you do know this, right? If you do NOT know this, you may want to reconsider the accusation of dumb, or perhaps focus it in a new direction

wow...clearly you live in the fox/rush/hannity bubble and dont really seek real facts. No problem...let me educate you a bit:
1)Committee Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) has been rebuffed by GOP lawmakers 18 times over the past six months when seeking to convene the same kind of meeting.
2) the senate did pass a bill, and sent it back to the house, the house rejected it. there
3) the law of the land is obamacare, of course the dems are going to reject any legislation that destroys or undermines the law of the land.
4) your ability to rewrite history will fail on this issue....
wow...clearly you live in the fox/rush/hannity bub... (show quote)

Thank you for your succinct report on these events. The Reps simply do not want Obamacare and they have tied their demands on to the repeal of this law. If it weren't the Obama Plan, they would find something else that will set the people on Obama.
He's beaten them by being elected (TWICE) and comments from their corner were "Let's make the White House WHITE again." Doesn't that say enough? They would change history if that were possible.

As I do not watch Fox (assume you do if you know what they say), nor do I listen to Limbaugh (he's on during the time that I work for a living). Now, as to your "education" - I don't know what obscure little lefty organization informs you, nor do I care.

1) There are many minor figures in both Houses in both Parties that try to get their own little whatevers considered - if the leadership in the Senate wanted poor Patty's stuff to go further he had ways to do that. The usual process when one House has legislation is to pass it in that body and establish conference committees with the other House to see if it can be negotiated.
2) I don't know what bill you're talking about, but presume it to be the only budget bill the Senate got around to passing in the last 5 years. As to the House rejecting it, I'd guess they felt turnaround was fair play after about 10 such bills from them were rejected in the Senate.
3) Obamacare that is being implemented is not the Obamacare that was passed. Certainly you know, even from your lefty sources, that Obama has decided to re-write a lot of it and ignore other portions of it. Only a devout Obamaist would suggest that he has unilateral rights to modify legislation as he sees fit while refusing to even discuss any other modification with the only part of Congress that was 100% elected in the very same election that gave him a second term.
4) History will take care of itself, it doesn't need me to write it - and it certainly doesn't need you to either. As to what will and will not fail, neither of us possess absolute knowledge of anything, let alone the future. Meanwhile our form of government is not one where the executive has total and complete power to decide what is and isn't the law - even if some folks consider him their messiah.

Not even going to comment. I think you know why your so-called act of compromise was not acceptable.

You libs/dems/progs have been "changing history" for years. Except you don't call it that, you call it "making things fair". The ACA is a piece of crap legislation that amounts to nothing more a huge tax increase on the missle and upper class.

It is true. I heard it on the news which I get through the PBS station. I don't care about what you think of ACA but I don't appreciate your name tags.

Most probably you also forgot that at the Republican convention it was stated, "To Hell with fact finders." I do believe the statement was made by Koch. Oops . . . after a comment like that, I would not vote for ANYONE the Rep/Tea Party backed. The statement infers that they would lie about anything.

Sorry, I don't keep back issues of newspapers (don't have the room). You'll have to look that one up yourself but I will attempt to track it down.

I'm asking the GOP House to simply continue to Hold Their Ground & Keep-On Passing Spending Bills minus ObamaCare... Thru the 2014 Elections if Need-Be... I actually believe the GOP could hold onto Their House Majority & gain a Majority in the Senate by Keeping-On Their Course...

I DON'T!!! They're willing to let everything else go (including the country) simply to prevent President Obama from being successful in this. The GOP is displaying pettiness, like spoiled children. I probably won't need it but I want the ACA to become fully activated.
