But it's not only Gays who want marriage equality, it's also a LOT of heterosexual citizens who want that for their gay family and friends.

They like to make it sound like it's only a few greedy Gays that are for marriage equality. 58% believe in marriage equality. So it is the bigoted minority that's forcing it down everyone else's throats. Only 38% oppose marriage equality.

So the only ones trying to force their "beliefs" aka bigotry on everyone else are bigoted Christians. Lots of decent, non-bigoted Christians are tired of the bigots speaking for them.
That's the thing. If THEIR church wants to refuse... (show quote)

Oh? They are forcing Christian bakers to provide Wedding cakes for gay marriages, and Christian Photographers to photograph gay weddings, and they force Christians who own certain venues to host gay weddings, so you're wrong! Additionally they are forcing states to recognize gay marriages when most people in the state oppose it.

And hypocrisy of hypocrisies, they sued California when it already had Domestic partnerships and Massachusetts when they had civil unions. So like I said earlier, it's not about "equal rights", it's about gay privilege, and more about trashing Christians by demonizing them.

A general reply to the topic: More Ignorance Of The Bible

Whenever a nation that has been blessed by God turns their back on Him, this condition is foretold:

"The days are coming," declares the Sovereign LORD, "when I will send a famine through the land-- not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD." Amos 8:11

Tell me. Is God's judgment ongoing against nations or now suspended until the Final Judgment?

God, of Whom the Bible says, He cannot lie, gave Israel to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and their descendents as an eternal possession.

"Genesis 15:12-21, 17:7: ' Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, terror and great darkness fell upon him.

God said to Abram, "Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, where they will be enslaved and oppressed four hundred years.

"But I will also judge the nation whom they will serve, and afterward they will come out with many possessions.
"As for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you will be buried at a good old age.
"Then in the fourth generation they will return here, for the iniquity of the Amorite is not yet complete."

And it came about when the sun had set, that it was very dark, and behold, there appeared a smoking oven and a flaming torch which passed between these pieces.

On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, "To your descendants I have given this land, From the river of Egypt as far as the great river, the river Euphrates: the Kenite and the Kenizzite and the Kadmonite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Rephaim and the Amorite and the Canaanite and the Girgashite and the Jebusite.'"

"'And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you.'"

17. When the sun had gone down and it was dark, a smoking fire pot and a flaming torch passed between these pieces."

This suggest that God appeared in his glory to make covenant with Abram, for when a covenant was made between two parties during this period, both of them would walk between the cut pieces of the sacrificed animals.

This was an acted oath, as if the people were saying, "may I be cut to pieces like these animals if I do not fulfill my part of the covenant" (1964: 112).

But here, God is unilaterally the one entering into covenant with Abram, when it comes to God there is no one who is an equal partner who can walk between the pieces with him. Instead a smoking brazier with a blazing touch appeared and passed between the pieces. This represented God entering into a covenant with the helpless Abram, whom God had placed in a trance.

On the day of the covenant God made promises with Abram, the details given in vs. 18-19 summarized as follows:

1. A restatement of God's commitment to give the land of the Canaanites to Abraham's descendants through His and Sarah's son, Isaac; the promise was renewed to Jacob.
2. A statement about boundary expansion
3. A statement about the current occupants of the land

This verse shows the generosity of God to Abram by condescending to his level and entered into covenant with him. According to H. L. Ellison and D. F. Payne noted that, "this covenant was to prove, a reassurance and an inspiration to Israelites and Jews.

The how and when of the promise however are entirely within God's control as it is at once demonstrated in vs. 13-16".

In this case Abram is obligated to do nothing to fulfill the covenant. God, alone has covenanted
to give Israel, as a permanent possession to Abraham, i.e, "in an everlasting covenant."

Those who insist that the covenant no longer exists because of Israel's past sins, do not respect
God's Word, or His Honor, for it is He who has vowed, unconditionally, Israel will always own the land.

In Exodus, Moses, while describing the forming of the new Sinaitic covenant still emphasizes the
importance of the patriarchal covenant. With the breaking of the Sinaitic Covenant, the patriarchal
covenant was still in force; the Sinaitic covenant did not replace the patriarchal covenant,
but coexisted with it.

Israel is the only nation ever created by Almighty God.
There are three essentials for nationhood: a people, a government and a homeland.

A People - "Genesis 12:2; 17:7: (God spoke to Abraham) 'And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing;'"
"'And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you.'"

A Government: God gave Israel a constitution as a nation and with it a government. This was the covenant with Israel through Moses found in Exodus 19 - Leviticus 27, plus Deuteronomy). God foretold punishment for disobedience, with their resulting diaspora and their subsequent return to their land.

A Homeland: "Genesis 17:8 'And I will give to you and to your descendants after you, the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.'"

This is the Biblical and historical basis for the right to the land which the Jewish people claim.
This covenant was given by God to guarantee the continuous existence of Abraham's descendants (through Isaac and Jacob) to the present day. This covenant was confirmed to Isaac (Gen. 17:19, 21) and to Jacob (Gen 25:23; 35:9-15).

God's faithfulness to his promises of rewards for obedience or punishment for disobedience and to protect and guarantee the existence of the Jews as a people is the only explanation for their miraculous continued existence today.

I say this because at the time God "chose" the Jewish people, through whom to bring the blessed Messiah, "the Lamb of God who would take away the sins of the world," Satan also chose the Jewish people.

Their continued existence, in spite of hellish repeated attempts to either exterminate or assimilate them into other cultures, is the security of the Christian.

If God could not be trusted to fulfill His ancient unconditional promise of "Eretz Israel," the land of Israel, to the Jewish people, then our own assurance, as Christians, of God's promise of eternal salvation, through faith in Jesus Christ, would have no guarantee either.

We need no greater proof than the return of the land of Israelto the Jewish people, after 1,900 years (70 A.D. to 1948 A.D.).

God recorded the Jewish people's exclusive ownership of the city of Jerusalem in Nehemiah 2:19-20 (445-430 BC):

"'But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite official and Geshem the Arab heard about it, they mocked and ridiculed us. "What is this you are doing?'" they asked. "'Are you rebelling against the king?'"
"'I answered them by saying, "'The God of heaven will give us success. We, his servants will start rebuilding, but as for you, you have no share in Jerusalem or any claim or historic right to it.'"
These words from Holy Scripture, telling God's view of the ownership of Jerusalem, are as true today as in the days in which they were written 2,500 years ago.

After modern Jewish reconstruction began in Jerusalem in the middle of the nineteenth century, the Arabs attached importance to living in Jerusalem for the first time in history. Palestine has never existed as an independent country under Arab or any other Muslim administration.

Although, the Jews represented a population majority, from 1920 onward, successive Arab attacks encouraged as well as permitted by the ruling British, gradually squeezed the majority of the Jews out of the Old City of Jerusalem and into the New.

When immediately attacked by the surrounding Arab nations, after declaring their independence in 1948, the final remnant, a handful of defenders, surrendered to the Jordanians when their ammunition ran out.

The city was then divided for 19 years, until Israel recaptured it in their war of defense against the sneak Arab attack in 1967. The Arabs' slight and superficial relationship to the city has only been expanded into a claim of an uncompromising, even exclusive, ownership of East Jerusalem, in the last century. ("Holy City," Encounter, February 1968).

Palestine has no historical significance to Islam, nor is Jerusalem even mentioned in the Qur'an. During the 19 years, Jordan controlled East Jerusalem, they tried to obliterate the Jewish presence and the signs of Jewish identity. All the ancient synagogues were destroyed. In the ruins of the Hurvah, the most famous of these, a small stable for goats or donkeys was erected.

The ancient Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives, overlooking the Old City, was torn up; some of its tombstones were used for paving and others for lavatory seats in Jordanian army camps ("The Undivided City," Israel Magazine, no.2 Tel Aviv, April 1968)

On Friday, 21 July, 2000, a UK BBC press release reported: "'Ehud Barak 'accepts' US brokered Jerusalem plan.'" "Mustafa Barghoulthi of the Palestinian Research and Policy Unit told the BBC that the Palestinians have already made an enormous concession by accepting that their future state would be less than 22% of what he described as 'historic Palestine.'"

"'As the Middle East peace talks continued outside Washington, the Israelis gave details for the first time of the painful concessions they were prepared to make to resolve the deadlock over the future status of Jerusalem.'"

"'Israeli cabinet minister Michael Melchior said Prime Minister Ehud Barak had accepted a US proposal to give the Palestinians administrative control over parts of East Jerusalem with, as he put it,some signs of sovereignty. A CNN report in July, 2000, told how 'Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Palestinian leader Yasir Arafat joined President Bill Clinton at Camp David to try to make history. Their aim was to create two homelands from one relatively small slab of turf wedged between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River.

Negotiators were haggling over borders for a proposed Palestinian state, to be carved out of land occupied by Israel in the 1967 war, which includes the eastern half of Jerusalem.'"

The word Palestine is a Latinized version of Philistine, coined by the Roman government in 132/135A.D. after the collapse of the Bar Kocha revolt. In Hebrew, Philistine means intruder, invader.

Substituting this name for the God given name of the land of Israel was an attempt to revise history and wipe out the name Israel and any Jewish claim to the land. The term Palestinia which is the Latin version of Philistea, the land of the Philistines (Palestinians) means the land of the intruders or invaders.

CNN (July 17, 2000) reported that "'the dispute over the city (Jerusalem) could be the show-stopper, the insoluble riddle that would bring the whole process crashing down. Barak had promised his people that 'Yerushalayim' will remain the "eternal and undivided" capital of Israel; Arafat then told Clinton that he feared assassination if he turned his back on the sacred city which the Arabs call Al-Quds; he demanded that the capital of the Palestinian state be located there, too.'"

This willingness to split the ancient city reminded me of the true mother who refused to divide her child, in 1st Kings 3:24-26 in the Holy Bible, when the false mother before King Solomon agreed to split the child in two, making it obvious to him that the real mother was she who refused to divide the child.

Previous Israeli leader, Shimon Peres however, was involved in unethical and secret intrigue to bring about international control. The intelligence newsletter "Inside Israel, reported that then Foreign Minister Shimon Peres sent a letter to Yasser Arafat in October of 1993, 'committing Israel to respect PLO governing institutions in Jerusalem.'" "Peres initially denied the letter's existence, then admitted that the letter had been sent, a revelation from Mark Halter,a close friend of Peres revealed." "'In May of 1994, he had delivered a letter from Peres to the Pope outlining the Foreign Minister's plans for Jerusalem in which Peres offered to hand over sovereignty of Jerusalem's Old City to the Vatican.'"

Interestingly, the Hebrew meaning of Israeli politician Peres' name is "divide," for it appears in Daniel 3:28: "'Peres; Thy kingdom is divided,'" Peres's secret plan would have had both an Israeli and a Palestinian mayor, both of whom would have been under the authority of the Vatican in Rome.

John Paul II interviewed in 1994 in Parade magazine, said "'We trust that, with the approach of the year 2000 Jerusalem will become the city of peace for the entire world and that all the people will be able to meet there, in particular the believers in the religions that find their birthright in the faith of Abraham'"

(This was spiritual blindness, for it included the Muslims whose holy book, the Qur'an does not recognized any other religion's right to exist in peace, but insists on maintaining Jihad until only Islam is supreme.).

"Jordan's King Hussein, , who is a direct descendent of Muhammad, to bolster his claim to Jordanian control over Jerusalem's holy sites, declared that 'only God has the right to decide who will own the Temple Mount and Jerusalem.'" "A Jerusalem Post commentator, on October 1, 1994, noted 'He is, of course, correct. But the question then becomes, whose God? For Hussein's Allah, the god of the Qur'an, does not mention Jerusalem even once in the Qur'an written by Muhammad, while the Hebrew Bible, the Tanakh [Old Testament] and the B'rit Hadassah [New Testament] together refer to the city over 800 times.'"

Zechariah 1:17 "Again, proclaim, saying, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, "My cities will again overflow with prosperity, and the LORD will again comfort Zion and again choose Jerusalem."'

Zechariah 2:3-5,8-13: "And behold, the angel who was speaking with me was going out, and another angel was coming out to meet him, and said to him, 'Run, speak to that young man, saying, Jerusalem will be inhabited without walls, because of the multitude of men and cattle within it.'" 'For I,' declares the LORD, 'will be a wall of fire around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.'"

For thus says the LORD of hosts, "After glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.

"For behold, I will wave My hand over them, so that they will be plunder for their slaves. Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent Me.

"Sing for joy and be glad, O daughter of Zion; for behold I am coming and I will dwell in your midst," declares the LORD.

"And many nations will join themselves to the LORD in that day and will become My people. Then I will dwell in your midst, and you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent Me to you.
"And the LORD will possess Judah as His portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem.
"Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD; for He is aroused from His holy habitation."

"The God of Israel has already exercised His right to decide. And He has given Jerusalem to the Jews as their inheritance in perpetuity...

a fact which challenges the insidious 'interfaith' theology falsely equating the God of the Christians and Jews with the Allah of Islam."

The entire historical, Biblical Old City of Jerusalem of Jesus' day, which is the original walled city of King David's day is contained within the boundaries of what is now being called "Arab East Jerusalem." This is the Hallowed land which the Jews longed for as they recited "Next Year in Jerusalem on Passover each year for 1,900 years.

It was Adolf Hitler, in Mein Kamp who said that the public is much more likely to believe a lie if it is a really big lie. The entire media keeps mimicking the phrase "Arab East Jerusalem," as though this somehow makes it true, although, according to all documented historical fact, as detailed in Battleground: Fact & Fantasy In Palestine by Samuel Katz, at no time in history has there ever been a Palestinian government, either in Jerusalem or within the whole of Israel.

So, is the very heart of Israel now to belong to the Arabs because the entire media has bought into it? - and this, without checking into any historical truth or the reality of the documentation of legitimate ancient boundaries???

All of West Jerusalem, with which the Jewish people are now supposed to be perfectly content, according to all Arab governments, oil greedy western administrations including the U.S., and the fact starved, modern media, is a city of modern structures, built within the last century or so, and completely devoid of the Jewish people's ancient and sacred historical sites and monuments.

This false "peace process" - which has proven to be no peace at all for Israel, will not stand for long, because God has said it won't. It's His land and He has given it to Abraham's seed (Genesis 12:7), in an everlasting covenant... which has not yet been completely fulfilled, but will be at some point in the future, because God has said so. - irregardless of anything our present or previous Presidents have said, or that future similiarly misguided leaders of our country might attempt to force upon Israel at any time.

Because the government of this country represents us, and because they're sticking their finger in God's eye, the United States, as a nation, will be judged!

It is believed that Iran and North Korea will soon both have sufficient nuclear warheaded missiles to attack us, thanks to our own technology shared with them by China, which, in exchange for millions of dollars traced to them, which were donated in campaign contributions to his 1992 election and 1996 re-election, Clinton's administration mysteriously allowed China to obtain.

Will God use these maverick nations to punish us, as a nation who has turned our back on God's Word and His revealed will for Israel? Psalm 121:4:"'Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.'"

"The uniqueness of Israel and it's declared capital, Jerusalem, is attested to today, by the desire of almost all of the world's nations for international control over Jerusalem." In A Cup of Trembling: Jerusalem and Bible Prophecy, by Dave Hunt:

"Secular governments don't believe what the Bible says about Jerusalem, so why do they consider this small, isolated Middle East city to be so special? There is no international agreement giving other nations any control over Jerusalem. Yet it is treated as though it belongs not to Israel but to the rest of the world."

"It is unreasonable and unprecedented. The nations of the world have agreed among themselves that Jerusalem cannot be the capital of Israel, even though Israel so designated it and located its Knesset (parliament) there in 1980. For a comparison, consider the case of East Germany. When that defeated country, in defiance of the Potsdam agreement, designated East Berlin as its capital, the nations of the world acquiesced immediately without a murmur of protest."

"Not so with Jerusalem. Why would a world that doesn't believe the Bible's promises concerning Jerusalem treat this city as though what the Bible said were true? That Jerusalem holds the key to world peace is too obvious to argue. The fact that Jerusalem, of all the world's cities, should play such a role makes no sense at all unless one accepts what the God of the Bible has said about it."

The Jewish people's continued existence, after being scattered all over the world these last 1,900 years, exposed to practically every genetic strain that exists, yet remaining still a people who have retained their ethnic, social and religious similarities is a fact which no one can fail to identify as a miracle.

Their amazing resiliency is overshadowed by another miracle: the 100% accuracy of the Biblical prophets, God's great prophets of Israel, in their prophecies made thousands of years ago, foretelling the survival of the Jews and their return to Eretz Israel. The existence of Jewish people, scattered in most countries of the earth but maintaining their distinctive nationality, can be attributed only to the supernatural power and special purpose of God.

"America is an excellent example of what one could expect when Irishmen, Italians, Englishmen, Swedes, Poles, Frenchmen and all the other nationalities of the earth live freely side by side," according to Tim LaHaye in The Beginning of the End. "Slowly but surely there is a blending of nationalities, cultural traits and traditions. Many countries, after three or four hundred years, have such a blending until it becomes difficult to distinguish one from the other. The Jews provide the one international exception."

No one has ever met a Hittite or a Philistine or an Amalekite because these peoples are all extinct. If there were no distinct Jews to be regathered to the land of Israel, God and His Word would be subject to ridicule because God's prophets made so many predictions about the future of the Jews in Israel as God's plan.

God has said: "'For My own sake, for My own sake, I will act; For how can My name be profaned? And My glory I will not give to another.'" Isaiah 48:11

Throughout the history of the human race, the title deed to the land of Israel will remain the exclusive property of the Jewish people. To believe otherwise is to deny the very Word of God:

Jeremiah 31:35-37: "Thus says the LORD, Who gives the sun for light by day, And the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; The LORD of hosts is His name:

'If this fixed order departs From before Me,' declares the LORD,'Then the offspring of Israel also shall cease From being a nation before Me forever.'"

"Thus says the LORD, 'If the heavens above can be measured, And the foundations of the earth searched out below, Then I will also cast off all the offspring of Israel For all that they have done,' declares the LORD."

Forgive my intrusion, but the Jews of Israel denied Jesus as Christ. From my reading the Bible, that ended their exclusive reign of being "God's children." The Bible is clear on the subject and it is important to us. John 14:6 says, "I am the way, the truth and the light. No man comes to the Father, but through me." By rejecting Jesus, the Jews lost their "most favored nation" status.

We must remember that the term "Jew" as used in the gospels is predominantly used to denote the religious leaders of Jesus time. Other terms were used when speaking of the people, such as "the common people heard him gladly." Mark 12:37 we should also keep in mind that the early church was almost entirely Jews. For over three years the gospel went throughout Jerusalem and Judea before it went to the Gentiles. The three thousand added to the church on the day of Pentecost were of Jewish descent.

REJECTION OF JESUS:
At the trial of Jesus the Jews called for the blood of Jesus to be on them and their children. Matt. 27:25. Still Jesus sent His disciples (Jews themselves) to preach to the Jews, and they did until the Romans destroyed their nation in 70 AD. We should love them just as much as Jesus does, and many of them are accepting Jesus as their Messiah. They need Jesus just as we do: "there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12. Paul loved his people and prayed for them. "Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth." Rom. 10:1-4. Paul loved them and earnestly wanted them to be saved. We should have the same loving attitude. Jesus told us to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every kindred nation tongue and people. They, as a people, certainly fall into that broad category. Christians should seek to give the gospel to them as well as anyone else. Indeed, some of them are helping to take the gospel to their own people.

SALVATION OF JEWS:
We need to read Romans 11. In the 2nd verse Paul says that Israel is not cast away and points to himself as evidence. He became a follower of Christ and he worked for the salvation of the Jews all through his ministry, even though he was the apostle to the Gentiles. In verse 7 he says "Israel has not obtained what it seeks." Then in verses 19-22 where he is talking about us (Gentiles) being grafted into their olive tree, he says: "Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off." The words "did not spare" let us know that as a nation he considered the Jews no longer God's people. As individuals they can still have salvation; as individuals they are no different from anyone else. As a nation, too, they are no different: all need Jesus. Now consider Galatians 3:29. "And if you are Christ's then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." All the promises of scripture are for God's people. Today Christians are that people if they "continue in His (God's) goodness." Rom. 11:22 .

As individuals, Jews have as much chance for salvation as any Gentile. When Paul started his ministry, the Christian church was made up largely of Jews. There were many who believed and came to Christ. Peter said to the Jewish leaders: "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12 NKJV. Jew or Gentile, it makes no difference, we are all saved through Jesus Christ. There are many Jewish Christians today.

JEWS BACK TO ISRAEL:
Some seem to think that the Jews must go back to Israel and resume the ancient sacrifices. This simply makes no sense because it was Jews (Peter and John in Acts 4:8-13) speaking to Jews, who proclaimed Jesus the only name by which any man can be saved. It is evident that Jews were included in the "we" of "we must be saved." The Bible is clear that sacrifices stopped, as far as God is concerned, with the death of Jesus, the Lamb of God. Matthew 27:51. "And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent." When God tore that heavy veil from top to bottom, it signaled the end of the animal sacrifices. It is true that sacrifices continued for a while after the death of Jesus but they lost their significance. The true Sacrifice had been offered. They installed a new veil. But in 70 AD, Titus, the Roman commander, came against Jerusalem and destroyed it. Jesus had predicted that not one stone of the temple would be left on another. Titus gave the command to save that beautiful temple, which was built by Herod. Jewish zealots found refuge in the temple and continued shooting arrows at the Romans. The soldiers became so angry with the harassment they set the temple on fire. The heat of the raging fire melted all the gold and it ran down in the cracks of the rocks and the soldiers plundered it to get the gold.

REBUILDING THE TEMPLE:
With no temple, the Jews have had no sacrifices since. Now, as if God is saying there will be no sacrifices ever, the temple mount has a Moslem mosque on it. Can one imagine the uproar if the Jews were to destroy the mosque to rebuild their temple? Sometime between 1996 and 1997 The Biblical Archeological Review ran a story on the temple mount and had pictures of the mosque. They also had a picture of a place marked in the rock that scholars believe was the place where the ark of the covenant sat in Solomon's temple.

JEWS IN BIBLE PROPHECY:
We should pray for the Jewish people today that they might individually come to Jesus. This is all consistent with God's instructions to Israel. "But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them: then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people: And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house?" I Kings 9:6-8. In Romans 11, Paul says the same thing can happen to Christians. We must continue our heart-felt relationship with Jesus or lose our way. Also notice the condition given in the promise to Solomon. "If you search for Him, He will let you find Him, but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever." 1 Chronicles 28:9 TEB. See also Deut. 8:20. This is a warning to Christians just as much as it was to Israel of old.

JEWISH INHERITANCE:
God promised Abraham that He would give him and his descendants the land of Canaan. Gen. 12:7. It took many years for that to be fulfilled, as God had to give Abraham's descendants time to multiply into a nation. The book of Joshua is the story of Israel receiving the inheritance. First with the help of the Lord they overthrew the inhabitants of the land and then Joshua apportioned it out to the various tribes under God's direction. Joshua, in chapters 13 thru 22, tells of the division of the land to the 12 tribes of Israel. Galatians 3:29 tells us: "And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." All real Christians will be heirs of the heavenly Canaan, heirs of the promise given to Abraham. Even Abraham himself "waited for a city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God." Heb. 11:10. This makes it clear the real promise was of the heavenly kingdom.

That is the real fulfillment, the one that will be eternal. Through Jesus we can obtain title to a kingdom that will never pass away. "And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him." Dan. 7:27. What a glorious promise we have in Jesus our Lord.

The nation's corporate rejection of Jesus caused them, as a nation, to lose out on the final inheritance. That inheritance has passed on to all who accept their Messiah (Jesus) as their personal Savior from sin. But as Christians we have been grafted into their olive tree, and we can be cut off as surely as their nation was. Rom. 11:21, 22.

Had the Jews, as a nation, accepted their Messiah, they would have been the church through whom God would work to bring the gospel to all the world. It was their gospel, but they refused to carry it. Thus was born the Christian church and we haven't done too well either. Consider this sad but insightful passage: "He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:10-12. John, (a Jew himself) must have mourned as he wrote this sad passage. Yet write it he must, for he did it by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. See 2 Pet. 1:19, 20.

THE THRONE OF DAVID

In Matthew 1:1-17 the author goes to great lengths to show that Jesus was of the line of David, moving from Abraham to Joseph the earthly Father of Jesus. Luke 3:23-38 does the same thing backwards. He starts with Jesus and works back in time all the way back to Adam. Both genealogies agree and pass through David and Solomon. The throne was promised to David forever by God. "And king Solomon shall be blessed, and the throne of David shall be established before the LORD for ever." I Kings 2:45. Then in 1 Chronicles 28:9, quoted above, Solomon was warned the promise was conditional. Zedekiah was the last king of Israel. After the Babylonian captivity, the Jews never had a king, only governors, as they were under the dominion of other kings. The Herod kings of Jesus' time were not of the line of David and were appointed by the Roman Caesar. Israel had lost their kingdom and have never regained it. Yet rest assured the promise of God about the kingdom and the throne are still valid though circumstances have change as to how they are still valid. Daniel makes it clear that the kingdom will be given to the "people of the saints of the Most High.." Dan. 7:27. Galatians 3:29, quoted above makes it clear that ALL who make Jesus king of their lives will inherit the promises to Abraham as they will be counted the seed of Abraham. Just as important as this promise is the promise of the royal throne of David. Two of the gospel writers have taken the time to give us the royal lineage of Jesus. Why? Just for interesting information? Not at all. Jesus is of the royal line as a fulfillment of the promise to David.

Isaiah made it clear that the Messiah was to come in the lineage of David. "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the THRONE OF DAVID, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this." Isaiah 9:6, 7. The kingdom that God sets up is forever. Daniel makes that clear in Daniel 2:44. Then in 7:13, 14 we find "one like the Son of Man" being brought "in the clouds of heaven" before the judgment throne of God (verses 9, 10) and dominion and a kingdom being given to Him. His dominion and kingdom are both everlasting even using the words "shall not pass away." Jesus is to be crowned king of our lives today. Someday when He comes again, He will come as King of kings and Lord of lords. Rev. 19:16. This makes the throne of David eternal. Some claim that Jesus is not in the Old Testament. Paul is not in agreement with that stand and neither is Jesus. Paul, speaking of the Israelites of Moses day said: "And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ." 1 Corinthians 10:4. Jesus said: "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." John 5:39. When one stops to realize that the Old Testament Scriptures were the only Scriptures available when Jesus said that, one realizes that Jesus is all through the Old Testament.

Paul, raised a Pharisee, said: "Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all." Colossians 3:11. In Christ, Old and New Testaments are bound together and all the promises are now to be fulfilled in Spiritual Israel.

You said, "I was raised C of C, went to C of C University and know the "good book" backards and forwards," so don't deflect and answer the question.

And I'll repeat it..."If you know it so well, I have a simple question. How is one saved?"

He will not direct you to Matthew 15:18-20 because then you would read the rest of the words.
Pretty much those that I have been asking about for months that the hypocrites won't address.

"...that is what defiles you. For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander. These are what defile you..."

Funny, how that part is left out, isn't it?
You are correct, of course, there is absolutely nothing to factually support that Jesus said these things.

Hi Julun, It is such a shame isn't it, how words and teachings have been twisted. Unfortunately some things I've read from the bible have been very disappointing, even from things like the sermon on the mountain.

It makes one wonder how accurate it is or was, the narrative of his word. And why didn't HE write down his own teachings, so he would've been direct and they would not have gotten tainted or mislead to interpretation? Just saying something to think about.

Tell me. Is God's judgment ongoing against nations or now suspended until the Final Judgment?

There are no living prophets, only believers in the prophecies that are written.

There are still prophesied events that need to occur before the Final judgment, according to God's Word.

In the Scriptures, whenever God began to judge Israel for forsaking His instructions on Godly living and ceasing to worship Him as He had commanded, it began with their weather; resulting in drought eventually causing famine, then diseases and devastating earthquakes, before finally invading their country with conquering armies.

Judgment can fall upon America at any time, with a judgment that precedes all Believers in Christ vacating the earth in the Rapture and preceding the Tribulation. Psalm 83 seems to speak of a time of God's Wrath against Israel's close neighbors; Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia are all mentioned, much like ancient Assyria.

These are all nations already occupied by ISIS, or countries they are threatening to invade and conquer. This is the next thing that could occur, possibly taking place this year, coinciding with the last two red moon, making it necessary for Israel to nuke it's neighbor's cities, after these countries have been conquered by ISIS. Israel's territory will be enlarged.

Biblical prophecy teaches that Damascus, Syria and Ammon, Jordan will both be destroyed.

Parts of all these countries are included in the boundaries God originally promised to Abraham, which has not yet been fulfilled.

The battle spoken of in Ezekiel, Chapters 38 and 39 will also occur before Armageddon. A confederation of nations will attack Israel, to include Russia, Iran, Libya, Turkey, and Sudan, and God reserves for Himself the privilege of destroying these nations in such a way it will be obvious to the entire world that He has wrought their destruction.

Some Bible scholars teach this is the same battle as Armageddon, however, Scripture tells us it will take seven years following this battle to bury the dead, and the Revelation of Jesus to John says that following Armageddon the bodies will not be buried.

The Tribulation is a special event meant for God's wrath poured out upon all the nations in final judgment after, at last, welcoming a Jewish nation that recognizes Jesus as their Messiah, after the church - the Body of Christ, has been removed, ending the Time of the Gentiles. If America falls, as many other nations and empires have fallen during the last 4,000 years, it could well be separate from the global judgment to come upon the remainder of the earth during Armageddon, preceding it.

The destruction of the U.S. is overdue; take a good long look around for the foundations of this once greatly blessed nation are crumbling. God must judge us for kicking Him out of our schools, endorsing, legalizing and promoting homosexuality, and cruelly and legally murdering 55 million of our unborn children, because we worship making money as our god, and have forsaken worshiping Him.

Prepare for turbulent times ahead, while keeping your eyes set skyward, where all believers will one day be called home.

The citizens of Sodom and Gomorrah failed to listen to Lot. We have the Scriptures for guidance.

However, we will know for sure only when it happens.

These are quotes from Jesus and if you want to look them up go to any bible website and put in some of the keywords to find the passage. I'm not going to do research for you.
