Agree that public sector unions should be banned. It is a simple formula that will kill them: All public servants receive pay and benefit level equal to their counterparts in the private sector. This is adjusted annually in line with the general economy, whether it is growing, or goes through a recession. This way government employees are treated fairly, but not at the expense of those paying the bill.

Without unions public sector employees would be free to choose what political party they support, not what generally radicalized union activists want.

I just had to respond to this. My brother in law , mr. Tea party , a card carrying member and proud Texan fits your example perfectly. He has 2, count them 2 ,union retirement checks coming in. He carries on about how unions are bad and their time is past ,blah, blah, blah. I have never said " What the f#&k" because I was speechless when he carried on with this stuff along with the new found Christian attitude , because you have to in the tea party, from a guy that never mentioned God or Jesus in the forty years I've known him. Even if these crusty old farts were in a union you can bet they benefitted from their existence. It's the old , "I got mine , f#$k you !".
