I see you have many "services" to offer. Helluva guy!

As a small microcosm of t big to fail and how to make them less big let me provide the following. One or two smaller communities managed to make the "too big to fail" branch banks 80% irrelevant in their towns. It actually started with a few churches. The church finance committees started looking at bank charges, interest paid, interest charged, etc. They went bank shopping and started moving their money to small local and regional banks and credit unions. They then went one step further. They started telling their congregants about the better rates, service and so forth . The congregants followed the churches path and moved their accounts, etc to the smaller local and regional banks. It was very effective. Can you say grassroots activism? :-)

I can say that your example is the best kind of "grassroots" activism!
Will you join me in a "grassroots" attempt to appreciate the color, "burnt-orange". I see it as an attempt to more civilize our country. I see no reasonable argument against such a movement. :mrgreen:It would be "nice" if AuntiE saw her way to gin up support for this overdue idea.

One must diversify in these uncertain times.

You are wise beyond your years, grasshopper.
I think that the leftists have no concept that corporations as well as small businesses generate the jobs, the income, the lives of citizens. Leftists actually believe that government provides jobs, income, and makes life better. Corporations contribute to those who support their goals. People contribute to those that keep them in food stamps, welfare, and servitude. That's what I not only think, it's what I know to be true!

Of the people, by the people for the people:
or
Of the corporations, by the corporation, for the corporations:
Dems 70% people 30% corporations
Reps 10% people 90% corporations
What do you think?
I think you have the ratios upside down. If you would say establishment Republicans are for the corporations - I'd agree. As to the Democrats, large corporation love large government and so, willfully or not, Democrats are favored. However, the much vilified conservative Republicans, the ones that call for smaller and more limited government are a real scare for large corporations and other special interests groups
America--land of 'free enterprise'-'competition'-'free market' competition--think so?? How can you have all 'these' in a country that is an Oligarchy/Plutocracy?-with 1% in charge of 99% of the money? Banks are not 'friends' of the working class!!Regional banks take their 'marching' orders from the Fed.

Problem is the Tea Party thinks they are supporting freedom for people, but it winds up being for the corporations. Why do you think the Koch brother support the Tea Party?
If you have ever been on the other end of one of their recruiting call you would see that they are trolling for people that are easily manipulated.

I would say the actual figures are less than 1%, and more than 99%. If you have not done so, I think you should read "The Creature From Jekyll Island." If you are unfamiliar, it is about the creation, operation, and goals of the Federal Reserve, and it's joined-at-the-hip relationship with the International Banks based in Europe, particularly the British and German branches.

I was referring to the Federal Reserve, not people with a lot of money. The Fed never had any morals to lose.
