When the F18s came online,,,the game was up,,, you couldnt see em,,, and couldnt get away from them..Best thing to do,,, was hover low, transfer control to the co-pilot and jump out!!

We frequently had air support from the F4 guys in 69-70. There was one outfit of 4's that had nose mounted 20mm. Cant recall their call sign. I liked how they pulled out of bomb runs, went inverted and flew back over the target upside down to check the damage. Always wanted to do that! A10's were amazing too. They could get dirty and fly formation with us rotorheads. Heard they could carry their own weight in ammunition. dont know for sure.
