I see you know very little about Econ. You have this all wrong.

I suspect that your opinions are no better or worse than most Other people's. IN YOUR OPINION, what is it that he needs to know about economics that you believe you know? I notice you didn't ask any questions or for any clarification. Please try to label your opinions and beliefs as they are and not confuse them with facts. Facts and factoids are very different.

Are you saying that God wants us to pick out the things we want to believe and ignore the rest? I think God is already pissed with you,, you may want to rethink some of your stuff. It wouldn't be good to burn in Hell for eternity unless you could claim insanity and get probation or community service. Do you believe God meant that His laws only applied to "certain people and a certain time? Pleeeeeeeze.

The laws you are reciting however accurate you may be were laws for Israelites, the chosen people to make then different or unique. The Old Testament is the old covenant, Christ brought for the word or gospel, and the new covenant which essentially seals the Old Testament. I'm not going to argue that there are lessons to be learned for Christians in the Old Testament, but the Christian follows Christs lessons and if we do as Christ taught we fulfill all of the commandments.

I like a cafeteria style religion in which you can pick and choose the rules you want to follow and the ones meant for others and not for you. feeding the hungry housing the homeless, and caring for the sick are not even on the priority lists of most RWE's.

I was not providing you with a load, I was merely suggesting again that you label your opinions, beliefs and factoids as such so we won't confuse them with facts.

You are right, glaucon. It was my opinion that you were providing us with a load. I assume that when you say "I suspect" that you mean that is your opinion, even if you didn't say so. Do I need to state what I thought the load consisted of? I usually try to avoid using obscene language on this forum if you don't mind.

I do mean it is my opinion when I say that it is my opinion or when I say that I suspect I mean that to mean it is my opinion.

You can speak right out with me. If you need to use obscene language to get your point across, please do so. I have been in the mental health field for many years and it is not likely that you will say anything that will cause me to have the vapors. It would probably be good if you could just put into words what you want to say. If you have obscene thoughts, it will improve your mental health of you just say what is on your mind. I am beginning to believe that saying what is on your mind wouldn’t take long and I would probably not be offended.

The Israelite were the one being persecuted and enlsave by the Egyptians, what god would choose them? And you lost me totally with the 4.55 billion years. As for the others many did not even exist yet so I really don't get your drift.

Oh but they all existed as well as modern human beings in Australia as far back in history as 60 thousand years ago and in Europe and the middle east by 50 thousand years ago. The science of DNA has been tracing the history of modern humans and their path of migration around the globe. So what took the Israelite God so long to reveal himself, Civilization its self began around the end of the ice age. Agriculture and the domestication was well established by 8,000 ago so what took so long.

and the earth is 4.55 billion

Very interesting & probably something that has been happening for thousands if not millions of years. The earth has been in a constant changing mode since it was conceived & will be until it completely crumbles if that is what will happen in time & all this BS about Global Warming is mute & cannot be changed by man significantly enough to be of any difference. Get over it it's ALL A PROCESS OF NATURE & WE CANNOT CONTROL NATURE ...PERIOD.

Actually, glaucon, I rather enjoy reading your posts. I am glad to hear you are in the mental health field. That explains to me some of your tactics such as saying it won't take long to say what is on my mind. You are probably right. I don't claim to be a mental giant and I can also take underhanded barbs without being offended. We could probably sit down over a cup of coffee and have an enjoyable conversation. I'm not saying we would agree on politics or religion but many of my friends don't see eye to eye with me. It's great living in a country where one can say what he thinks without going to jail. I hope it stays that way. I have seen some evidence that would indicate that some of our freedoms might be in jeopardy. But that's a subject for another discussion. Have a good day.

Are you sure that being able to pick and choose the rules you want to follow would be the best religion? Seems to me that would result in chaos. I've been told that some of our leaders also prefer that type of setup. The part about the RWE'S (I assume you mean conservatives & not Real Wealthy Elites) does not resonate well with my experiences. Most churches I have visited or been a part of, are always passing the plate and starting programs to help the homeless & disadvantaged. Possibly you have been reading "Media Matters" or "Moveon.org" too much. They tend to put the wrong spin on many things associated with Christianity or anything conservative. I hope you aren't going to ask me for proof for the above, but I think you know what I mean. See ya.
