The Mexican maid asked for a small pay increase.
The wife was very upset about this, and decided to talk to her about that raise.
She asked: "Now Maria, why do you want a pay increase?"
Maria: "Well, Señora, there are tree reasons why I wanna increaze."
"The first is that I iron better than you."
Wife: "Who said you iron better than me?"
Maria: "Jor huzban he say so."
Wife: "Oh yeah?"
Maria: "The second reason eez that I am a better cook than you."
Wife: "Nonsense, who said you were a better cook than me?"
Maria: "Jor hozban did."
Wife, increasingly agitated: "Oh he did, did he?"
Maria: "AND The third reason is that I am better at sex than you in the bed."
(Wife, really boiling now and through gritted teeth!!!!)
Wife: "And did my husband say that as well?"
Maria: "No Señora....the gardener did."
Wife: "So, how much do you want, my dear?"

The day it all started was MARCH 6, 1836.
On that fateful day, Davy Crockett woke up and rose from his bunk on the main floor of the Alamo and walked up to the observation post along the west wall of the fort. William B. Travis and Jim Bowie were already there, looking out over the top of the wall. He joined them.
These three great men gazed at the hordes of Mexicans moving towards the Alamo.
With a puzzled look on his face, Crockett turned to Bowie and said, "Jim, are we, by any chance, having any landscaping done today?"

Mrs. Dickinson and her daughter, Angelina, were the only Anglos surviving the Alamo. Her husband was an officer at the battle.
I thought I remembered her/you as the baby-sitter of my infancy. :-D You should be proud of your Texas heritage, ma'am.

Do you have a choice of flowers for your funeral, or will you just be happy with what I send?
