He watched the movie on his computer where it was used. I know it was referenced in one movie that I know of but cannot recall which one.

Another woman who is easily offended. Obviously, you are far to dense to understand political generalities. Why you and other conservatards get upset at the truth is amazing. You morons constantly attack the prsident with stupid, vile disgusting names and comments, but get your panties all in bunch when the right wing is condemned. Now do yourself a favor, don't reply to any post you don't like. Your hormones won't rage.

As far as I have seen, and this in only on page 2 of 4, you are the one who has started with the insults and derogatory remarks and escalated as you have continued on from the start. If only right wing nut goober teabags start with the name calling and derogatory remarks, you must be head of the right wing nut goober teabags party.

Pull yourself together, remove your cranium from your rectum and have a discussion like an adult with some wits about you. As it stands, you make me believe you are a 12-year old momma's boy who hides behind the anonymity of his computer and the internet because if you said in public what you say here you would have your ass kicked 15 times or more a day.

Personally, I do not care what you call me because it is just a name. You do not matter one whit in my life. I merely point out your hypocrisy. You start with name calling and making derogatory remarks and then turn around and whine and bitch when someone calls you names and uses derogatory remarks against you.

You are so confused about your own identity and your awareness of that lack of identity that you grasp onto whatever sounds good for the moment. Every comment you have made here and elsewhere, and yes, I have read your posts elsewhere, is nothing but a troll for the attention you are lacking in your personal life. Here, due to the anonymity provided you, you can lash out and take your personal frustrations out with impunity. As long as people like us continue to give you the attention you crave you are happy. Well, with the exception of the few posts I have directed toward you in the past, I will no longer feed your need for attention. I have better things to do than to spend time trying to reason with someone whose idea of reason is to call someone names and use derogatory comments against others in their need for attention. I think clipping my toenails and shaving my ass are activities where my time is better spent.

Have fun in your life and I do hope that eventually others will realize just how desperate you are for attention and know that you will eventually die off when they decide not to feed you anymore.

Typical Little BoJester Peep. You start a thread about right wing teabags and goobers shooting up the Navy Yard without a shred of proof to back it up. It turns out the shooter was a black veteran, so you resort to your standard puerile insults. Your use of this incident to cheap shot those you disagree with is, like you, despicable.

If any of you trash talking heroes are or were Marines whose MOS was 03xx, Army 11 Bravos ---particularly those who earned the Combat Infantry Badge--- or Air Force or Navy types who actually participated in combat, you are entitled to call me a REMF. The rest of you need to sit down and STFU.

Fewer than 10% of our armed forces actually participate in armed combat, the rest of us are or were REMFs, and we served proudly. If any real deal grunts are in this forum, and ever keyed a PRCxx to call for fire support or MEDEVAC, please know that a REMF serviced or repaired it. Where would your ground-pounding grunt asses be now if it hadn't worked as advertised? As we REMFs offer you our profound respect and thanks, we graciously accept yours for our expert participation in keeping your smelly, war-fighting asses alive.

It's been my experience that most people who use the term REMF are themselves REMFs pretending to be something they're not. Not everyone can be force or battalion recon, Navy SEALS, DELTA, rangers, special forces, PJs, fighter pilots, etc., but we do our best to support those who actually get shot at for a living. I've also noticed that alcohol seems to fuel the enhancement of combat memories (fantasies), and other tough-guy, "Danny Danger" bullshit.

"More Idiots with Guns" well describes people who take it upon themselves to shoot unarmed children, workers, and others, but it appears to me that this thread was started for the sole purpose of instigating low-brow, name-calling argument, not intelligent discussion. This thread, and many others on this site, seem to be infested with trolls, likely children with too much time on their hands, and little, if any, real-world experience. A shame, but that seems the way of it...

Another "outed" REMF (MOS 2771 - ground radio repair/integrated fire control technician).

Conservatives dont get upset at TRUTHS. We just get tired of hearing liberal LIARS. As far as you condemning us? It is us condemning your LIES about Conservatives. But we understand why you REALLY hate us. Its because we LOVE this country, and you communist liberals cannot stand that.

Pogo, thanks for your response. You are right, the original thread was meant to be provacative, calling attention that too many unstable individuals have access to guns. Some are bought legally, but when used to kill innocents are jsut as deadly as any illegal gun used for the same purpose.
The term remf was not necessarily used as derogatory, but more to show that so many hard core gun advocates are of the opinion, that they, and they alone can stop all possible intrusions into their insulated world. Most of the responders are simply not smart enough or perceptive enough to discuss the reality of too many guns in the wrong hands, without becoming defensive, and worrying that somehow, someone is coming to get their precious guns.
Of course, that defensiveness then evolved into nastiness, name calling and personal attack.

My definition of REMF is a higher up with little or no combat experience who attempts to manage any situation where combat is imminent or actual from a VERY safe distance. How many full birds have actually seen a day of combat? There are civilians in the chain of command who are just as guilty. Like, for instance, the Clinton Administration's ludicrous attempts to micromanage the situation is Somalia from thousands of miles away. I do not think you fit my definition of REMF. I stand by my statement that using the murder of innocent people to cheap shot those with whom you disagree is a despicable act. Sorry if my name calling offended you, as it was not aimed at you.

Just goes to prove that military members on a military base should be armed, but Bill Clinton (never in the military) banned that? Secondly, more people in civilian life with a CCW pernit would bring the crime rate down. However, I am wondering why the gun grabbers never get concerned about things such as 9 swimming pool deaths per day on the average, and 19 deaths per day, on the average for medication errors. Hey, I'm also wondering why that in 2011 that 32,367 documented auto accident deaths don't even raise an eyebrow with the gun grabbers who are so concerned over the deaths connected to some nut job with a gun? In my town not too many years ago, a nut job behind the wheel ran down and killed 7 people walking on the sidewalk in town and injured a whole bunch more. I didn't hear anything about banning cars?

Just goes to prove that military members on a mili... (show quote)

Using the automobile deaths per year versus the number of gun deaths per year is comparing apples to oranges.

To legally drive an automobile in this country you have to have a driver's license which requires a written, and in some states a driving, test. To license an automobile, you are required to have proof of insurance on that vehicle that meets or exceeds the State's standard of minimum insurance. The vehicle, in some States, must also pass a safety inspection. There is no longer, in many States, a prerequisite of taking some form of driving training or driver education, just the written test with questions taken straight from the State's driving handbook.

To legally purchase a gun in this country, from a gun store, you are required to undergo a Federal background check to see if you have been convicted of any crimes in which you would be ineligible to purchase a gun, be it a handgun or a long gun. This does not include the purchase of a weapon capable of being fired on full auto. Burst weapons I am unsure if it is necessary to under more Federal scrutiny to purchase. After the purchase, depending on the State of Residence, you may be required to be licensed by the local law enforcement authorities, through the State law enforcement authorities, to carry a weapon concealed or open. Some States do not have a licensing requirement to carry open, but do allow for open carry without a license. Some States do not allow open carry at all, but also do not require you to be licensed for concealed carry. A gun owner is not required by law, in any State I know, to carry insurance in the event the weapon is used in a manner that causes injury or harm to persons or property.

In both of the above cases, the States themselves regulate what constitutes the rules and regulations to follow when licensing a person to operate an automobile or to license an automobile.

Compare California's automobile licensing standards to those of most States in the Union, they are more restrictive in most circumstances.

Each State also sets its own rules and regulations governing who is allowed to obtain firearms legally and how that is done, with some Federal standards that are required to be met. As each State is reliant upon the Federal government for the accuracy of the database containing the criminal records of all person who should be there; which in turn is reliant upon the States to provide the proper information to be supplied to the Federal database, you have a co-dependency upon one another for the accuracy of the database.

When you look at the number of accidents on the road, you have to look at the number of those accidents in which the driver was legally licensed to drive a motor vehicle, the number of drivers who were legally and properly insured and then derive your statistics from those data.

As the factors for the licensing and the regulation of both automobiles and firearms is completely different and incompatible, comparing the two is also incompatible.

One other thing to point out, at least if you believe in the wording of the Constitution, one has the RIGHT to keep and bear arms, where as driving is a privilege. The legal purchase of a gun is regulated by the State, the legal purchase of an automobile is not, one just needs the funds or credit. The licensing of an automobile and the right to carry a gun is also regulated by the State. Any idiot can drive a car, any idiot can purchase and use a gun. Any responsible person can drive a car, any responsible person can purchase and use a firearm.

The estimated total number of guns (both licit and illicit) held by civilians in the United States is 270,000,0001 to 310,000,000http://www.gunpolicy.org/firearms/region/united-states

Overall, there were an estimated 247,421,120 registered passenger vehicles in the United States according to a 2005 DOT studyhttp://www.usa.org/cars/

US Population: 316.7 Million at time of postinghttp://www.census.gov/popclock/

The point is, apples to oranges.
