My apologies if I am offending anyone, but I do think this little cartoon should make us pause and think.

Mary was the mother of Jesus, NOT a Surrogate mother. God was the father. Joseph was the foster father, not the father. Joseph did not carry the baby Jesus in any part of his body, Mary carried the baby in her womb. Where did you learn this distorted misinterpretation of the Holy Birth, in a Metropolitan Community Church service, or from "Queering Christ?" I cannot see that your statement was made in a not disrespectful manor, and that is most unlike you. I know that you get angry when any heterosexual Christian says that the Bible says that homosexual behavior is a sin, and consider it to be hate speech.I cannot imagine that any Christian would considers what you posted to be lovingly presented.

You filthy perverts are disgusting and nauseating.

Queer perverts controlling kids is child abuse in the worst way.

Why can't you practice your perversion in private instead of trying to make people think it is something other than nauseating perversion.

NPP - I will apologize again. Humor, even when it is intended to make us think, always runs the risk of offending someone.
And while I didn't intend it to be lovingly presented, I didn't mean to be overtly disrespectful either.

What I did mean to say is that Christian worship is centered around a family structure that is distinctly not "normal". I ONLY find this offensive when it is used to disregard and demean the many loving same-sex couples who are trying to raise their children in a loving, stable home.

Christian based family worship and circle IS considered normal. Has been that way for eons and eons. Your version is odd and not normal. So, just like the gay/les movement, you say " we want tolerance for our self directed behavior" but you really want total acceptance through Federal mandate. Not to transparent are you? Hey I know a Presidnt you may wish to follow and idolize!!

God invented humor.

I think it's proper to laugh and move on.

Thanks Dave! We gotta be able to laugh, but your 3-dad idea just may make some heads explode!
(Of course there is theological argument on whether the Holy Spirit has any gender at all, but that's another topic entirely).

Pretty funny how such a soft spoken thought provoking post drew such immediate rage from the peanut gallery.

Hello Paul,

For what it is worth, I did not take your post to mean you support homosexuality. I took it to mean that you are pointing out how times have changed, how what we took for granted to never be attacked or changed by either Liberal or Conservative is now being altered. A wake up call....Christians, your beliefs are under attack and will vanish unless you ban together and fight back. Starting at home. Teach your children (regardless of age) what you believe in and why. Do not allow your children to divert from the path. Yes, this is hard, but there are times when children need to be treated as children and taken by the hand to church and made to sit and listen. Prayer in the home helps keeps children anchored. You may not be able to fix the mistakes of the parents of our last generation of children, but you can do something about the next and say no to the perversion in your own home.

So, thank God that Paul brought this out into the light. Although it is easier to shoot the messenger, the correct action is to thank the messenger and do something to change accepted notions for the sake of your children and grandchildren's future.

Pennylynn - As I think someone will point out, I am gay and am quite comfortable with it. I've been in a relationship for 17 years, and legally married to him for the past 6.

And while I definitely disagree with your calling my orientation "perversion", I do like your focus on teaching your children values at home. It's certainly your right, and if you instill a loving nature the world will always be a better place for it. Tolerance is a value that was certainly central to Jesus' teaching, and I think all kinds can live in harmony if we practice just a little more of it.
