Telling the truth is difficult. Probably the Hardest thing we humans can attempt to do. We (as humans) "filter" everything through the sieve of our experience. I attended a conference in Denver once about telling the truth. In the conference was a family of women, 4 Generations. They took a family event, and each woman described what happened. It was incredible the difference between the ages, in what they observed or what they thought about what they observed. The last part of the exercise was to get all parties together and tell the exact "Truth" of what happened. The event was almost unrecognizable from the different stories.
So lets take the Current Syria Mess and Talk about "EXACTLY and ONLY" what we "KNOW"
What do we "REALLY KNOW" about Syria? Snowden or what ever you want to really talk (not fight) about
1. An attack on a Compound ended the life of an American Diplomat. (this is REALLY ALL WE KNOW)
2. We don't "KNOW" who.
3. We don't know WHY.
4. We don't know our Presidents Actions.
5. We don't know Hillary's actions.
6. We don't know if anything is being done.
Isnt that sad, for a government of the people, by the people and for the people? Why cant we KNOW the Truth?
Snowden,
What we know: He had access to classified ( we don't know what level) information. He thought he was going to blow the whistle, something went wrong. He ran to China, then Russia. He is giving out information,,, unfortunately to our hereditary enemies.
Is there a common thread in these stories, that WE THE PEOPLE can glean?

I believe the common thread is that our government is not the government given us by the US Constitution. Our government is foreign to the American citizen. It has huge secrets it needs to hide because once Americans know the truth, they are liable to recall a lot of elected officials and legally try a bunch of bureaucrats. I believe it is as simple as that. I also believe it is so thoroughly entrenched that there is little chance of changing it peacefully.

Tasine... Your are exactly right. Also I might add, if the US wants to avoid becoming a second world class to the eyes of other nations that use to look up to the US then the administration needs to quit acting like a second world class nation, like leading from behind and bowing down to the kings of a third world country... Obama just handed over to Putin the first world class leading nation title over this meaningless war in Syria.
There is only one person who I know who can answer your questions either on the air or in his website. Hear Michael Savage nightly 9-11 (he takes callers) on WABC 9-11 770AM (EST) or write him on his website-mail website at
www.michaelsavage.wnd.com.......He tells the blatant truth!

No one listened or questioned OIllegal when in 2008 he said that he wanted to fundamentally change America. No one questioned OIllegal when he made a comment on building a private army larger than the US military either. Will anybody in the state run media ever question him before we are destroyed or not? Yes he also has taken the US from the worlds leading country and most powerful country down to a third world country where we now are to bow before others. The world used to look to the US for leadership and now it looks like Russia holds that Throne and the Scepter and we must bow. I do concur with Tasine that I don't think that we will regain our country peacefully, we will have to fight to get it back under our control again.
Oh Peter,
Your decision to label Savage as "blatant truth" ends your credibility from here on. Blind acceptance of anyone's truth leaves you without discretion and therefore without value to the discussion.

Brand new user, one comment, and you are able to assess someone so quickly and without knowing a single solitary thing about the person. What makes you think Peter is using "blind acceptance"? I don't think you have the knowledge to make that judgement.

I have advanced degrees and speak, read and write two (2) foreign languages so I consider myself to be well read and quite capable of knowing when and if it meets the criteria of substantiating other sources of infomation which goes further in completing the entire mosaic of the subject matter. In this instance I have never found Michael Savage to have gone beyond the truth save for his probable thoughts on a matter which he immediately identifies. Its easy to open your mouth and dismiss someone because you "feel" that way but have no capability of substantiating what you feel with facts that you may be able to identify with or at least consider as a possibility. This is lack of discretion on your part not mine.

Your credibility is decreased by your need to support your position with your own accomplishments. The hate filled rhetoric of Michael Savage doesn't sit well with me. The man says derogatory things about other people all time.
Here is what I have observed: Glenn Beck listeners are darkly pessimistic, Michael Savage listeners are conceited and hateful, and Rush Limbaugh listeners are broadminded optimists. I don't listen to any of them often, but Rush never confirms my hatreds or my depression. And I appreciate that.
