Voice of Reason. This was covered substanbtailly by various media, ranging from TV and Radio to print. It was also explicitly admitted by one opr two Washington politicians (I would have to look up the names because I don't remember them, but they were senators) They stated that the reason for many of the changes in polling times and laws were deliberate efforts to diminish the number of people who would vote Dem,ocratic. For instance, they cut down or eliminated weekend polling hours. It just happens this is when there is a very heavy turnout of Blacks, who tend to vote Democratic.

I am surprised you didn't know this (or maybe you do and are feigning ignorance), because it was so widely and so frequently covered.

"It follows as the night doth follow day" that many of the Republicans were/are evil because they tried to prevent large segments of the population, such as Blacks, from voting. And a few of the Republicans actually admitted this was their purpose. Obviously these Republicans don't believe in democracy.

The blatant theft of the 2012 United States Presidency [and other political offices] makes it clear: America is not simply engaged in a left v. Right, liberal v. Conservative battle.
We The People are engaged in a battle with Pure Political Evil.

Any Party, Candidate or operative who would so callously rob We The People of our Constitutional Right To Vote is downright evil.

Any Party, Candidate or operative who rationalizes their evil-doing with the ‘belief’ that what s/he is doing is “for our own good’ is evil. h

They do but two Graham and McCain on the gang of 8 that want to push amnesty aren't shooting themselves in the eyes of too many people.

I don't have cable or satellite TV so I never watch MSNBC, CNN, FOX NEWS or any other cable news channel. I also don't watch the major network TV news because of the radical bias they employ. So no, I never heard about what you talked about, I assumed you were talking about requiring voters to show ID.

However, after reading your comment, I did a Google search. The only results that came up were all far left-wing sites talking about Florida, where two people claimed that changing polling times for early voting was done to inhibit Dems from voting. These two people were an ex-GOP Florida State senator (not federal), who had presumably switched parties and the former head of the Florida GOP, who was under indictment for embezzling money from the GOP. Hardly reputable sources.

Do you think ID's should be required to vote? Please explain your reasons.

Suggestion: quit voting Republican. Vote for the Libertarian Party or the Constitutional Party, but NOT for the losers in the Republican Party. If people had done that instead of voting for the lesser of two evils, Obama or Romney, we might already be rid of Obama. We had a great candidate in Gary Johnson, but 98% of the voters REJECTED HIM. That tells me a lot about voters.

Amen to that! Gary Johnson would have been one of the greatest presidents of all time.

I don't see how you think Johnson could have won if we all voted for him. If all those who stayed home to keep from voting for Romney had voted for him he would have won even though he got zero votes in many voting districts. I just can't throw my vote away like that. Anyway, next time around I am not at all sure there will be a Republican party voting. I think that the 3rd party that so many will form up around the Tea Party and other Republicans and win pretty easily. I might suggest that we both watch Hannity tomorrow night when he has Carson on along with many important conservatives. I heard Star Parker talking about why Carson has the libs so afraid tonight and expect to see all those black people on with him talking about how they have been accused of trying to leave the reservation.

Anybody can beat Hillary in that election since most blacks will be following Carson and so many conservatives will be for him. I don't think the establishment people like Boehner will pick him and that will kill their party.

I am just as ready to vote for Carson as I was the first time I heard his Prayer Breakfast speech. The libs and establishment Republicans are all afraid of him for obvious reasons.

You had better check out what went on and what is going on in the state of Virginia.

No, I don't think people should be required to show ID, just to tell people who they are and where they live when they come to the polls. That's how we do it in California.

Why ? Because the people who pushed requiring voter ID said it was to "prevent voter fraud." In fact, the amount of voter fraud that takes place is practically non-existent -- almost non-existent. "Voter fraud" is a bogus excuse for limiting the number of people who most often vote Democratic (such as Blacks) from voting. Also, in case you didn't see the billboards put up to scare Blacks away from the polls, just Google that for a while. These were put up deliberately for the same purpose.

It sounds to me not as though you are getting information from the wrong sources but rather as though you are not getting information at all.

I am pretty sure I couldn't get the same answers from Google that you seem to be able to get, but then I don't know the words that set off their left lean like it seems you do. i always get things that agree with my right lean so can't get any search engine to hand out left leaning sources. I surely wonder why people can't see what I am saying. I even tell people what words I used and I guess they just refuse to use them.

OldRoy, I didn't have to Google Virginia and all of that because my memory is still good enough to remember what happened. I don't understand how you can not know what went on there. It isn't about left or right. It is about documented fact.

So you just don't understand what I say about search engines?

How about Philadelphia where in 59 districts Romney got nary a vote? Is that true?

I know what you are talking about but here in Kansas our Legislature just passed the law requiring ID to vote and we used them for our primary and then the general. I don't know anybody who had trouble with that. Most people drive so have to have picture ID driver licenses and those who don't could go to the DOT and get free IDs that looked like the DL. Why was that so hard? We just used them again for our local elections the other day. I just don't see any reason why picture ID is so tough unless you are one who wants to vote for a dead name or something like that.

I live right next to the Virginia state line and what we heard on the local FOX News affiliate was that a man, who was working for the Republican Party, was caught throwing voter registration cards away. All of them had been filled out by someone who was a Democrat.

They also reported on how all the computerized voting machines were owned by relatives of prominent Republicans. Most of those machines are NOT protected against sabotage, and were mysteriously "updated" just days before the election.

It was also the Republicans who were pushing for early voting and extended voting hours to be struck down. AND illegally intimidating voters. The Republicans in NC are trying to do that here, now. NOT the Democrats.

Your propoganda page just doesn't jive with the facts. Sorry.

There were several State Republicans who specifically said that they were going to vote down early voting to keep Black Democrats from voting.

I don't care if someone runs as a Republican, but if you can't win the right way, maybe it's time to rethink your platform.

The only thing I found of substance in Virginia was somebody was arrested after it was discovered he destroyed 9 Democratic voter registrations. How does that compare to the 59 districts in Philly where the total votes were 19,605 for Obama vs 0 for Romney? What about locales all over the country where the voter turnout was over 100%?

That's how it's done in my state as well. There were several stories on the news here about people who tried to vote but were told they'd already voted, because somebody else showed up before them and used their name and address.

How does requiring a picture ID prevent Blacks from voting? Most Blacks already have drivers licenses and those who don't can get a picture ID from the DMV for free. Apparently you and the Dems think there is a large population of blacks who don't drive, don't have bank accounts, have never bought alcoholic beverages or cigarettes, don't go to nightclubs, don't travel by plane, don't have a job, don't own or rent a home or apartment, don't own a gun, don't hunt, don't fish, don't use prescription medicines, and don't do any of the myriad other things that a govt-issued picture ID is required for. If you really cared about these fantasy people you'd be helping them get ID's instead of insisting they shouldn't need one to vote.

I did Google the billboards, they say Voter Fraud is a Felony. Why would you or any sane person think that would intimidate Black people from voting legally? Even if you do think that, why wouldn't it also intimidate non-blacks?

It is blatantly obvious to anybody with even a partial brain that not requiring an ID to vote is designed solely to enable voter fraud. You and other Dems say voter fraud is practically non-existent but there is no way to prove that because without requiring ID there is no way to know the extent, which is the whole purpose.

You may be right about me not getting enough information, I am certainly not stupid enough to believe I know everything about everything. In my experience only stupid people believe they know everything.

Here's another one

I agree with your closing statement, which is why I think ID's should be required to prevent voter fraud.
