Here's your English Lesson for the day!
"Complete" or "Finished"?
No dictionary has ever been able to satisfactorily define the difference between "complete" and "finished." However, during a recent linguistic conference, held in London, England, and attended by some of the best linguists in the world, Samsundar Balgobin, a Guyanese linguist, was the presenter when he was asked to make that very distinction.
The question put to him by a colleague in the erudite audience was this: Some say there is no difference between complete and finished. Please explain the difference in a way that is easy to understand.
Mr. Balgobins response: When you marry the right woman, you are complete. If you marry the wrong woman, you are finished. And, if the right one catches you with the wrong one, you are completely finished.
His answer received a five minute standing ovation.

Excuse me. Let me see if I can do some fact finding. I am in charge of the Sunday Devotional, which no one pays attention to..or rarely. I am the manager of behavior for the Prayer Team. I am in charge of our hymns for the Psalms Forum, which requires research. I am responsible for a Saturday amusement. You have one single, simple chore...keep the Prayer Team List up to date. :hunf: :hunf: :D

Thank you for your welcome. I am truly humbled to be associated with this group and hope to be an acceptable addition.
As you may know, I am a writer and can say a little using a lot of words, LOL. I hope not to bore you with that trait.
By way of further introduction and that you may learn something about me I invite you to go to my web site at
www.lynngregory.net (this site does not allow active links so you have to copy and paste or type in the info. into your address bar). There you will find information about me and the book which I recently published - "Knowing The Holy Spirit". You will also be able to read the first 5 pages of the book.
Thanks again for your acceptance and I look forward to joining your voices in prayer for those things we have a mutual interest in.
May all things be done for the glory of Christ

As an aside, have you ever wondered where people got their handle on the internet? When I got my first computer about 14 years ago I lived on a small projection of land into Tampa bay. It was surrounded with swamp with all the bugs , raccoons, and snakes that a person could ask for. That is where swampbug came from.

It is not that men can't do it right the first time but rather that we only do those things which we enjoy and therefor repeat them several times. SO THERE!
