It is not a shame. Call it what it really is EVIL OF THE HIGHEST ORDER.
I know my anger is kindled too.
I am honored to have been invited to associate with this group by Armageddun - thank You. Like to pass on a story about my experience with prayer. In 2000 I met this lady who is now my wife and we were instantly attracted to each other. After a brief period I found out that she had an inoperable malignant growth at the top of her spine where it joins the brain. The doctors said that if they tried to remove it she would likely be paralyzed from the neck down even if the surgery was successful. She elected not to go that way and had put her affairs in order. She was still trying to work but suffered from increasingly intense headaches. One afternoon she came from work early, took some pain medication, and went to bed.
After she went to sleep I sat on the edge of her bed for an hour or so crying because at this point we were very much in love. I started to pray and ask God that if it be His will, please help her. I had just found her and did not want to give her up that quickly. After about a half hour of prayer I left her and went to sleep. The next day she called me from work and said that her doctor had called her and ask that she come to his office after work. When she got there he told her that the night before (at the same time I was praying for her) he was reading an article in an British med. journal about a new experimental procedure they were having some success with in England. He found out that morning that there was an experimental group being put together in the US to test it here. After about 3 hours on the phone, he got her enrolled in the test.
About 2 weeks later they started the treatments. They injected a mixture of drugs directly into the growth every day for a week then every other day for another week then every three days. After about 2 1/2 weeks it started to go down in size. After 6 weeks it was gone and has not returned in 14 years.
Do I believe in the power of prayer??? I feel like I have a wife that God saved just for me!!!

What a beautiful story of the love God gives to those who pray. This made my day complete, thank you.
I too believe in the power of prayer. My wife and I work with young teenage boys who have been physically and sexually abused. We work along with the psychologist as counselors and substitute grandparents. Several years ago we had just begun working with a 14 year old who have been abused by his older brother for at least three years. He had been in and out of psychiatric institutions, and was institutionalized that the time. The psychologist called and said that the boy was on suicide watch and we needed to pray for him. The church prayer group prayed most of the night, and the next day the psychologist called to say that the boy had started to try to chew open his wrist and suddenly something in him said "No, you are loved, you can get well" or at least that's what he told us later. he never tried again and is doing quite well, graduated from college this year and now is a strong confident young man. So yes, I too believe in the power of prayer. This wonderful prayer group prays routinely for "our boys" and we know it has made a difference. So we thank them all from the bottom of our hearts.

This proves that you have faith, and I invite you and her to the prayer page on the OPP called, "Praying for America----Through a Psalm of David" the link is
http://www.onepoliticalplaza.com/t-19878-1.html Started for the purpose of praying for America during the time of Obamanation and extended to Israel and the Christians overseas, this topic began. The idea was given to me from a soldier's mother, who prayed one Psalm per day until her son came home from Afghanistan. He returned safe and sound. Inspired by this story, I started the topic, and I now invite you because of your story to join us in praying for America.
And just ask Rock to give you an arm and welcome. Just watch out for AntieE's Frying pan its rusty......heheh.......Greetings and welcome.

Has anyone heard from Semper-Fi, does he need prayer?
Also, have a friend who was unexpectedly hospitalized, and would like to ask prayer for her. Her name is Andrea. Thanks everyone.
