In my estimation the JCLU of which Jay Seckulo (sp) is the spokesman is a reliable source of updated Christian information around the nation and around the world.

Right now there are many Christians in the middle east who are experiencing terrible persecutions. Let's be sure to remember to keep all our brothers and sisters plus their children in much prayer.
This for so many is a life or death situation. I am sure most of you know the details but please remember these people.

Oh yes, I know - wherever the Jihadists move in, Christians are in peril. By all means, keep Christians in prayer - they truly are in need! I am just saying, watch that social-networking stuff as there are enough reliable sites to find out the truth.

Jay Sekulow, sent me this news letter it states:

"It's terrifying.

ISIS terrorists are exterminating Christians in Iraq.

Now ISIS agents imprisoned in Iran are threatening to murder American Pastor Saeed Abedini.

If he leaves his cell for his daily time in the prison yard, they've promised to kill him.

ISIS is enslaving Christian women, beheading Christian children, and marking Christian homes for slaughter.

Christians in Iraq face genocide. Pastor Saeed - a U.S. citizen - faces death.

We cannot be silent in the face of ISIS barbarism.

We're working in Congress to rally support and aid for Christians in Iraq. We're urging the Obama Administration to arm the Kurds, who are the only ones protecting Christians against ISIS.

We're demanding action for Pastor Saeed from President Obama and Secretary Kerry. We're directly at the U.N. raising the plight of Pastor Saeed and Iraq's Christians.

Defend Christians. Defend Pastor Saeed. Be heard.

Received this email today that I have to share with all of you. I hope it lifts you as much as it did me.

Subject: BRING POTATO CHIPS
Take 60 seconds to read this story. It will give you time to settle your brain, gather your thoughts, calm down, and finish your week off on a positive note.

Potato Chips

A little boy wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with a big bag of potato chips and a six-pack of root beer, and started his journey.

When he had gone about three blocks, he met an old man. He was sitting in the park, just staring at some pigeons. The boy sat down next to him and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his root beer, when he noticed that the old man looked hungry, so he offered him some chips. The man gratefully accepted it and smiled at him.

His smile was so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered him a root beer. Again, he smiled at him. The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word.

As twilight approached, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to leave; but before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around, ran back to the old man, and gave him a hug. He gave him his biggest smile ever.

When the boy opened the door to his house a short time later, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, "What did you do today that made you so happy?" He replied, "I had lunch with God." But before his mother could respond, he added, "You know what? He's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen!"

Meanwhile, the old man, also radiant with joy, returned to his home. His son was stunned by the look of peace on his face and he asked, "Dad, what did you do today that made you so happy?"

He replied "I ate potato chips in the park with God." However, before his son responded, he added, "You know, he's much younger than I expected."

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime! Embrace all equally!

Have lunch with God.......bring chips.

God still sits on the throne. You may be going through a tough time right now but God is getting ready to bless each of us in a way that only He can. Keep the faith!

Here is the prayer:

Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and internet buddies reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and power. Protect the Iraqi families trapped on that mountain, and bless the Kurds for aiding Christians. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is fear, give them Your strength, and comfort them with aid. Bless and hear our prayers for their well being.

Two questions. First is how do we organize a Christian March on Washington DC? And will it be effective?

I know for one, I will go. How could we inform all the Churches across this nation, to march for Israel and the Christians who are being attacked because of ISIS and these Muslim extremists. We should march and say prayers, the number one prayer is the "Our Father". If we march around the capitol building and the white house for seven consecutive days. Each day making three rounds around the White House and the Capital, praying three times in a loud voice, the Our Father, Then going back to the hotel. Do you think we could do it?

Here's my idea, I don't know how to coordinate it though. The Bible says that when the Israelites besieged the city-state of Jericho, they marched around the walls of Jericho, seven times. Then in a mighty shout the walls came tumbling down. My thought is this. In honor of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We march around the White House and the Capitol Building, three times a day, for seven days. As we march around the buildings we Pray in a loud voice the "Our Father" Then at the end of Seven days, in a loud voice we pronounce "Glory to God in the Highest! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Glory to God in the Highest!" Then leave.

I wonder if we could just pull that off. God will do something if we do that! I don't know what he will do.

I recommend those of us who can't go for a variety of reasons to stay home, but for it to make a statement. We must come in great numbers and that I don't know if it is probable. I know it is possible, they did it back in 1963 with Dr. Martin Luther King. I wonder if we could do it today.

It would be a completely peaceful protest, to get the attention of Washington, that the people, the Christians are upset at Hamas, Al Qaeda, and ISIS. It would spark them into action. What do you all think? We have to get the Churches involved. Could we pull it off? or should we wait?

The wonder of animalsÂ…. Enjoy.

THE ELEPHANT'S JOURNEY TO PAY RESPECT,

BUT HOW DID THEY KNOW?

Lawrence Anthony,

a legend in South Africa and author of 3 books including the bestseller,

The Elephant Whisperer.

He bravely rescued wildlife and rehabilitated elephants all over the globe

from human atrocities, including the courageous rescue of Baghdad Zoo

animals during US invasion in 2003.

On March 7, 2012 Lawrence Anthony died.

He is remembered and missed by his wife, 2 sons, 2 grandsons, and

numerous elephants.

Two days after his passing, the wild elephants showed up at his home

led by two large matriarchs. Separate wild herds arrived in droves

to say goodbye to their beloved 'man-friend'.

A total of 31 elephants had patiently walked over 112 miles

to get to his South African House.

Witnessing this spectacle, humans were obviously in awe not only

because of the supreme intelligence and precise timing that these

elephants sensed about Lawrence 's passing, but also because of

the profound memory and emotion the beloved animals evoked

in such an organized way: Walking slowly, for days,

making their way in a solemn one-by-one queue from their habitat

to his house. Lawrence 's wife, Francoise, was especially touched,

knowing that the elephants had not been to his house prior to that day for well over 3 years!

But yet they knew where they were going. The elephants obviously

wanted to pay their deep respects, honoring their friend

who'd saved their lives - so much respect that

they stayed for 2 days 2 nights without eating anything.

Then one morning, they left, making their long journey

back home.

SOMETHING IN THE UNIVERSE IS GREATER

AND DEEPER THAN HUMAN INTELLIGENCE

And some will say there is no God,

try and tell that to the elephants. . . ..

I guess I am just dense but I can't understand why anyone would be offended with the Roman Catholic version of a prayer
I was raised in the Episcopal church which I left when I left home. Since then I have attended many church services in different denominations and have found some welcoming and others not. When we moved down south we started attending a Baptist church. The pastor seemed to be less than welcoming when I revealed that I was not well versed in the Bible, and when he found out that we worked with teenage victims of sexual abuse, his response was"if they didn't welcome the sex, they would have fought back, so the boys must be homosexual, and are not welcome here, nor is anyone who accepts homosexuality" SHADES OF MY FATHER!!! We never went back but did find a nondenominational church where the people have been wonderful and we and "our boys" and the foster parents they often live with are always welcome. I realize that it was the pastor and not the denomination, but he certainly was not behaving in a Godly manner. So we are still lacking in Bible learning, and appreciate Armageddon's help when we ask for it. Still having problems following many of the discussions by those of you who have studied the Bible, but I am trying (SWMBO says I am very trying, but that is a different story) God bless you all for your patience.

We all are growing in knowledge of the bible. That's what is so wonderful about it. It is a spiritual Manual. As such,it never is going to get boring. And it is always revealing more of the hidden truths within it. I figure the time I've learned all there is to know? Is the time I'm pushing up daffodils. Lol.
