Not in the Union....They smile, & say: You are volunteering, to join...[ or go home]

Many years ago, {circa 1920's & 30's}...there was a place for the Union mentality, today, There must be a huge

reform if they are to last! Corruption?... { synonymous with Unionism! }

How about oversight in the Teachers union? Dock workers, & Teamsters Union, UAW/CIO....?

The union uses their members dues for political donations.

Should the unions hold a membership vote for their Presidential choice and donate accordingly, Ie. if the vote is 43% and 45% with some not voting, should the unions distribute their donations as the vote went?

No....they should not! They should not align themselves politically...

their business is purely representing their membership, rights, & fairness....[ end of story!]

What happens to leadership, of Unions? James Hoffa...Walter P. Reuther, et al!

Follow the Mafia, or "disappear"! [ Kinda alike being a Dumbo-crap!]

Apparently you failed reading. The question presented was whether the union membership should vote their presidential choice and the union donate accordingly. My response is, yes, they should.

FYI, unions have been making political donations since their inception.

As long as it is understood, no where, in the Constitution, does the phrase ”Separation of Church and State appear.

As you brought this up, why is it acceptable for Democratic candidates to campaign in churches? Does this not invalidate your contention?

I find your writing incoherent.

The First Amendment reads that " Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of Religion."

Yes, I am perfectly aware of that!

It is you who chose the use of the phrase separation of church and state. So many use that phrase as if it is written somewhere in our founding documents. It is not!

The first clause, in the Bill of rights: "Congress, shall make no law, respecting an establishment of Religion!"

Hence: "separation of church & state" [ got that Skippy?]

If you had even an ounce of common sense, you would have run across this, "in lieu" of your erroneous statement!

Literal meaning? if you want to criticize :"Literal meaning"...get an education, & a law degree...[ Not like the

Demorat legal edu. Get a "real one'! "Ag" Merrick Garland, & Erake Holder?...[ Just 2 fool's, appointed by "one" other fool!

Biggest Fool: *Mulatto Muslim, & *homo-extraodinere....Barak Hussein Obamuslim! [ "Supreme court?....You gotta be kidding"!]....[ Said the Republicans, of Merrick the Fool!]

"Barry"...affectionately referred to as Bath House Barry...Homo, from CHicago! [ has a rhyme to it?] "Poetic"?

A lot of elected Democrats go to southern black churches and openly campaign. One could not call that separation of church and state.
