Padre, how many aborted fetuses did you protest before RvW? Women were trying to figure out how to have abortions when they figured out how babies were made and long before RvW came into being. Certainly, someone as devout as you was counting them and assigning whose fault they were. Did we e-vile liberals force women to have abortions before RvW? Was it our fault? And were there no Conservative women amongst the lot? You blame liberals but a dollar against your nickel ideology had nothing to do with a woman's choice to have an abortion. Plus neither my wife nor I believe in abortions so got married when she got pregnant and we were liberals. Simply because you are liberal doesn't mean you believe in abortions so are going to get one. What we don't believe in is extending our beliefs over others...unlike you who has no problem doing that at all!

Abortion should be done only if the life of the mother is in danger. HOW the baby was created is less important than THAT the baby was created. If the baby is in existence because the mother was raped, the baby should not be punished by death for that! There are many couples who would love to have that baby as their own! (Couples waiting to adopt are estimated to be in the millions in the US alone!)

Fortunately, today we have much better technology than when women had back-alley abortions. If something goes wrong with a pregnancy and either the baby or mother's lives are at stake, a team of skilled doctors would be called in and they would begin medical and possibly surgical procedures to help the woman's body either terminate the pregnancy, or help her heal whatever the problem was with the pregnancy. The lives of both people should be considered....not just one of them.
