No. It's a legitimate question. The ladies on the View said it was, and all of them shook their heads in agreement - and the audience cheered and clapped....so obviously some people believe that the eclipse was affected by the Earth's climate change issues.

I'm just wondering what it is about the eclipse that was compromised by climate change. I didn't get that answer from what The View ladies were saying, and I can't find the answer anywhere on the internet as to what exactly about our climate had an effect on the eclipse.

A slightly longer answer is: the Earth's atmosphere extends out to less than 300 miles. The moon is 250,000 miles away and the sun is 93 million miles away. Our climate has no effect on either.

Of course the weather (which is different from climate) affects whether an eclipse is visible.

People who talk like this remind me of teaching our son to drive. Coming around a curve he was surprised to see a car coming at us on our side. Did he brake? No. Did he slow down? No. He just kept saying "He's on our side of the road!"

I was ready to grab the wheel - but I couldn't brake or even slow the car down - my son was controlling the speed and he knew HE was doing the right thing so he wasn't thinking about what might happen if he didn't do something more to avoid a head on collision.

Is this where we're at? The US has done our part so we don't have to do any more until China does if it kills us.

They're on our side of the road...

Yes, we're children. Hopefully an alien population doesn't discover how stupid we are. We'd be toast.

Since you are quite certain that global climate change is a hoax, I presume you are familiar with every one of the several lines of evidence all of which prove the reality of climate change; and I presume you can refute every one of them. So let's hear it!

Tell me why more CO2 is a bad thing for the planet

Nice deflection. I asked you to provide a refutation of the many lines of evidence all of which prove that global climate change is real. Whether it is a good or a bad thing is a different question.

Anthropogenic climate change is not real. It's an idiotic ideology.

People who can’t respond to a driving teaching moment remind me why they should stay off the roads.

Ages ago EPA set standards for emissions reduction, water issues, etc. In every instance we exceeded those requirements before the set expiration date.

Democrats are control freaks. You want an EV buy a EV. You want to live without food, because in case you did it know it plants need CO2, starve yourself. You want to live in some 600 square foot apt. like the environmentalists want, do it. You want to live with expensive inefficient heat, which electric heat is, do it. Leave others alone. Every prediction your ilk has made since 1970 has been wrong. Basically you don’t know what you and your ilk are talking about. On a personal level, I recycle, my fuel efficient gas heat is set to 66 in winter and air conditioning at 78-80 in summer, use big fan in spring and fall with windows open. I bet you set your thermostats at the customary settings, so basically I am more energy conserving than you.

"Every prediction your ilk has made since 1970 has been wrong." No. In fact, most of the predictions have been spot on.

I do the same except air at 79, heat at 67.

The climate changes, constantly. It always has and always will. There is no proof man is causing it, there isn't any proof that man is changing it either. The "models" used to predict the consequences of anthropogenic climate change have NEVER gotten a single prediction correct, ever. There are a few scientists who believe that man is the cause, almost all believe that we may contribute to the weather changing, and more still who believe that humans have zero effect. The 97% lie has been debunked and shown to be false hundreds of times.

Please explain why an increase in CO2 is bad for the planet, your assertion, and not a good thing

Oh, for crying out loud. You are so full of shit it is amazing you can put on your pants in the morning. Everything you have just claimed is not only false, but obviously false. Let's go through them one by one:

"The climate changes, constantly. It always has and always will." This tiresome statement it completely irrelevant. Of course it changes, over the course of hundreds of thousands of years.. What is happening now is that the climate is changing over a few decades. Life on earth can't adapt so quickly. Therein lies the potential for disaster.

"There is no proof man is causing it, there isn't any proof that man is changing it either." There is plenty of proof. But when your mind is as clogged with propaganda as yours is, no proof would ever be sufficient.

"The "models" used to predict the consequences of anthropogenic climate change have NEVER gotten a single prediction correct, ever." As a matter of fact, the models have turned out to be pretty accurate. Where do you get this bogus "information"?

"There are a few scientists who believe that man is the cause, almost all believe that we may contribute to the weather changing, and more still who believe that humans have zero effect." No actual climate scientist would agree with this statement. Perhaps some who have no expertise in climate science would agree. Which means nothing.

"The 97% lie has been debunked and shown to be false hundreds of times." No, it has not.

If you want to go on living in your fantasy world, no one can stop you. But your grandchildren will curse you.
