The SCOTUS ruled that abortion is a "States Right" issue, the Federal Government has NO authority.
Abortion is no longer a legitimate topic for national debate.

It society's job to protect everyone, including the most vulnerable, among them the pre-born. While 16, 12, 10 or 6 weeks bans are improvements, they nevertheless condemn the unprotected from (your term, but also Al Gore's before Bill & Hillary showed him the light) their murder.
