She was a guest in my house. Neither my wife nor I had a single conversation about politics. I was given a 5% chance to survive. We had more important things on our minds. And for that matter, I've never even talked politics with any of my relatives unless they were the ones who initiated it. My mother-in-law went home only after we hired a live-in nurse and she was satisfied with my care...she had been a nurse for a doctor for 20 years.
As in past years, we have dealt with multiple serious family illnesses I understand how much it takes to handle such matters. You and your wife are to be commended for opening your home as opposed to ‘dumping’ her, as many families do, into a facility. More and more they are nothing more than warehousing of the elderly.

And this is something you need to understand. This is a political message board. This is a forum to speak about politics. This is where I talk politics except with my wife. I and non-violent, have no guns, and try to keep the peace with my neighbors, relatives, employees, business associates, clients, etc.
Thank you so much for explaining what this was. To think for 10 years I was unaware of such.

As for brainwashing in general. Fox came into being for the sole purpose of telling conservatives what they want to hear. Which side is going to be more prone to propaganda and brainwashing...news organization(s) dedicated to one ideology or those that rely on one or more ideologies for their customer base? Fox is dedicated to conservatives only and is therefore subjective. When you only hear a subjective point of view, yours, you will never know if something is true or false...unless you objectively dig and verify it yourself. And how can you be objective when you are used to only hearing views that agree with yours...

One can hardly call Brett Baier and other news anchors conservative. My reading has shown he is very prone to calling out both sides.
If you think about it (ha ha), you would realize there have been no true “journalist” since Tim Russert’s passing. In the past, the standards for a report were; who, what, where and when.
No where was the question
why applicable unless the person reporting had directly spoken with the person committing an act. Nowadays, these teleprompter readers expound on the why when they know absolutely nothing about it. It is nothing but their opinion, which
is not journalism. Anderson Cooper, Hannity, et al know absolutely nothing about the
why. They need to shut the hades up. Basically, they are telling people what to think, and people are too bloody lazy to actually do their own research.
My best example of what I am saying is two examples. First, I copied exactly from the House Federal Register and was told I was wrong and MSNC opinion was provided. Next up was a direct copy of a SCOTUS decision. Again, I was wrong because MSNBC said something else. I am trying to determine when MSNBC became members of the House or SCOTUS. I do not do five minute sound bites. I slog through information.
