I just finished praising you for retracting your "bloodbath" missive, and here you go again...

The vast majority of those currently imprisoned over Jan 6 were not rioters and certainly not insurrectionists. Even if you twistedly said they were trespassing - in "The People's House" - the punishment has NOT fit the crime. They should be given their day in court and judged properly and if incarceration is due, so be it. Instead, there has been an egregious miscarriage of justice on a huge scale and the judicial system, including the DOJ should be investigated.

I don’t either. As long as they didn’t pass the police postings and any no trespassing signs at the Capitol. I don’t buy the excuse that the cops talked to you and didn’t attempt to remove you. They were overwhelmed by the number of people who entered by unauthorized entryway and were forced to deescalate. There were not enough cops to fight back that crowd. They could only try to maintain safety however they had to. If you went into the Capitol, you are guilty and should be charged. If nothing else, you interfered with authority. It’s not possible you didn’t know you were trespassing, or you better have a convincing argument why you didn’t.

If you engaged in violence or direct insubordination then more serious charges should apply. This is a civilized society and we are expected to follow the rule of law. That means cooperation with the police. That riot caused by a group motivated to overturn the election in support of Donald Trump participated in an insurrection. Trump broke his oath by calling the election stolen and telling his supporters to go and fight. That is giving comfort the enemy. That was not appropriate and Trump he should be held accountable for his part in it. Each individual is accountable unless they can explain how they were persuaded by Trump’s authority as president to break the law. It might be reasonable to blame Trump if you saw him as the authority and can prove why you followed his direction.

So assuming trespassing was inherent - for officers wearing a uniform opened doors and invited protesters in - what role do you believe these officers played in many protesters entering the bldg. ? Even so what is the penalty for trespassing - if it is a fine then all that weren’t violent or destructive should have been issued a citation and no different than a speeding ticket been given a choice to pay the fine or contest the charges in court but nothing can justify years in jail and not even seen the inside of a courtroom yet

And trump cult members are plotting civil war if trump doesn't win... That's the difference I'm not supposed to think like I do if it goes against anything trump supporters believe while I could care less what they think as long as it doesn't infringe on my life.

More like if your side cheats again. That should fix it.
