Even felony convictions.

"Prohibiting a convicted felon from possessing a gun is unconstitutional, according to a Jefferson County Circuit Court Judge’s ruling.

Judge Melissa Logan Bellows filed the order this week, dismissing the possession charge against a convicted felon and persistent felony offender, Jecory Frazier."

Right up there with the couple who bought their emotionally troubled teenage son a forearm for his birthday then acted shocked when he went out and committed a mass shooting…

With a forearm? That's a good trick.

Yes, but then they convicted the father of 7 counts of reckless conduct in a plea deal where he got 60 days in jail and 2 years of probation.

Just one question: If a convicted felon has served his time - but cannot be trusted with a gun - why is he/she being released from prison?

It's a lot tougher to kill or maim someone without one.

Not necessarily true.

However, should they also be trusted with a knife? Or a bat?

What if it is a non-violent felony? Example: a person having a 'joint' of marijuana in Texas was convicted of a felony. He was 18 and had possession of 1 'joint'. Is he now a menace to society?

Take it up with your state legislator if you disagree.

Most states have had that policy in place for a very long time.

In fact, in a lot of states you lose your right to vote if you are convicted of a felony crime. We were taught about that in high school.

I think the dad was just convicted of involuntary manslaughter for that. Mom is still waiting for her fate.

She was tried first.
