You should try it some time.
How I want things to be are exactly as written in the Constitution .

So , yes , you’re right .
Following what is written in the constitution has sufficed for 240 years .
Trump plans to destroy the constitution , only to serve his own personal needs.
Not to essentially make anything better for all ,
But , only to make things better for trump only !
And hopefully keep him out of jail .this aspect of the Constitution are the reasons trump wants it destroyed .
His backers like the Koch brothers also want it destroyed but for different reasons than trump .
Trump is only their own personal useful idiot !

More than the presidential election will be at stake when the U.S. Supreme Court settles whether former President Donald Trump is disqualified from office for being accused of engaging in insurrection. The court’s credibility also will be at stake when it considers whether to overturn a Colorado Supreme Court ruling that disqualified Trump from that state's ballot.
Most justices on the court are proponents of “textualism,” which means they believe that judges should interpret laws based on the meaning of the text and not be concerned with the political consequences of their rulings Indeed, Justice Samuel Alito promoted this self-declared virtue in his 2022 majority opinion overturning Roe v. Wade, declaring that the court cannot be affected by “how our political system or society will respond” to rulings in controversial cases.
If Alito and the other justices adhere to this thinking, then the court will most likely uphold the Colorado Supreme Court decision. The relevant words in Section 3 of the 14th Amendment say, “No person shall … hold any office … under the United States … who, having previously taken an oath … as an officer of the United States … shall have engaged in insurrection … against the same.”
If we focus on those words alone, then we would say that if Trump is found to have engaged in an insurrection on Jan. 6, 2021, he can’t be president again.

The Supreme Court will rule against Colorado in a 9-0 or 8-1 decision. No telling how the justice who doesn't know what a woman is will vote.

Your Holiness Kevyn:

1. The Constitution of The United States of America confers upon The Supreme Court of The United States of America no power to interpret The Constitution of The United States of America,

2. The Fourteenth Amendment to The Constitution of The United States of America was NOT constitutionally ratified because the former Confederate were not permitted to be seated,

3. Even if it were properly ratified, it was not the intent to be applied to things as currently being done (not that something that doesn't comply with your desires matter.)

And as usual, you won't respond to questions I raise.

You are wrong in assuming that all liberals do not want to follow the Constitution as intended and written.

And you are wrong in your comment.

she stated "You are filled with hate and you and the rest of the left have no desire for the Constitution to be followed as written and intended."

Note "left" - not liberal.

For example - I am a liberal, but not a leftist.

The issue is Trump has NOT been charged with insurrection by DOJ, thus the cited amendment is not applicable.

Just because some non legal entity says he engaged in insurrection does not make it so. It is a personal opinion.

You don't apparently keep up with the news, or you would know that the Koch brothers are supporting and funding
Nikki Haley and not Trump. Reason - Haley is a military industrial complex war mongering establishment RINO.

Kevyn has gotten this right. The 14th amendment was written to keep people like Trump out of office. Ignoring the 14th amendment would make a coup much easier in the future.
