The advice columnist E Jean Carroll has denied that she falsely accused Donald Trump of raping her in order to sell books and for political ends.

On the third day of Carroll’s civil suit against the former president for battery and defamation, Trump’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, put it to her that she made her allegation the centrepiece of a book proposal she was trying to sell.

Carroll is seeking damages for the alleged rape in a New York department store changing room in the mid-1990s and for defamation after Trump accused her of lying when she went public with her accusations in the book.

Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) was originally a made up condition, conceived as a derisive label by the alt-right to attack anyone who criticizes or refuses to support Donald Trump. The idea being that others are so obsessed with Trump that many have collectively lost their minds. Unfortunately for them, like many of their other little online crusades, this has backfired.

People dislike Trump for actual reasons which often go well beyond just politics or partisanship, and if anyone has 'TDS', it's often those that blindly support him. Too many have lost their sense of morality, religious convictions, principles, objectivity, all discernment, and sometimes even the ability to have a civil discussion. So, the term has now been co-opted by others to refer to those Trump supporters who are blinded by their unrealistic devotion to Trump.

So, kindly stop claiming religious morality is better than non-religious morality in building America to the greatst nation in the world with the greatst economy. It did not and you are outright lying. Say, isn't that a violation of the morals you are supposed to conform to? In short, ALL legitimate studies prove that it was, indeed, the economy. Not some lies about religious people being more moral. That had nothing to do with it. Never has anywhere. Decent paychecks did, and those no longer exist, so the economy went down hill, along wiht our greatness as a nation. Religions do nothing but coninue to try to control government and force their beliefs on others. This world will be a far better place to live when the last religion is dead and gone. Well, Emily, others call me liars as well, so I simply reply in kind, particularly when I am well aware that their views have ben shaped by the very people who are ripping off American workers and continuing to move more and more of America's wealth to the already rich. This is exactly what has hurt our economy and our greatness. When you gradually lower wages and hold them down below inflation year after year until another 15 pecent of America's wealth has gone to the already wealthy, the economy can only get worse. And that is exactly what has happened over the last 50+ years. Workers have less real spendable income, so the economy suffers. This is not an opinion.
