CNN host shuts down colleagues who reported that Fox admitted they lied...they did not admit it!!!!
CNN host Alisyn Camerota, who previously worked a Fox News for 16 years, was decidedly unimpressed with the settlement in Dominion Voting Systemsâ defamation lawsuit against Fox and rebutted her CNN colleagues on air insisting that Fox did not actually admit to any lies in the settlement.
âWere you surprised about what Fox did?â Jake Tapper asked Camerota about the $787.5 million dollar settlement.
âI havenât been surprised by any of this, nor am I surprised by the settlement. I predicted there would be a settlement all along because Fox doesnât want to air its dirty laundry in a court case,â Camerota replied, adding:
And forgive me, I donât share quite Elieâs, I guess, being impressed at the outcome. This is
half of what Dominion asked for, letâs remember. And yes, obviously, itâs a big windfall for Dominion. Itâs chump change for Fox.
They make more than $1 billion a year. Their news division. And so this is I think this is a victory for Fox. They donât have to put their big stars on the stand and they didnât even have to issue a public apology. When you guys say that, they admitted that they lied....No, they didnât! Theyâre saying that we we acknowledge the courtâs findings that certain claims about Dominion appear to be false.
That doesnât say we lied. That says theyâre false. And they say
certain claims. Theyâre not even saying they made those claims. Theyâre not even saying which hosts of theirs made their claims. I think that this is the best outcome that Fox could ever have hoped for."
https://dailycaller.com/2023/04/18/cnn-alisyn-camerota-fox-news-dominion-settlement/Now they don't have to say anything on the air -- no "apology" because lying was NOT PROVED!

I think it was a bit more than airing its dirty filthy laundry .
It was a major deception , intended to deceive its viewers.
I bet they keep watching .
I wouldâve been pissed to find out that they knew they were lying the whole time.
But, this wonât bother the loyal Fsux noise viewers.
Itâs still their upside down little world.

For a very long time this seems to have been the only or at least the main story on MSNBC. Very amusing to listen to their almost religious condemnation of Fox. Their record for accuracy has always been stellar.

Dominion has been accused by many other countries way before FOX.

None of the news stories ever mentioned the fact that Dominion has never let anyone examine their machines or algorithms. What are they hiding?
Some very interesting takes on this subject.
Here's mine:
With all due respect to my friends here, I think this is a major black eye for FOX, and they screwed up royally. Say what you want, but over $740,000,000 dollars is a LOT of money, and it will harm FOX's financials significantly. Worse than that, this will now forever taint anything else they say.
It is also an injustice.
There is a big difference between a NEWS reporter, and an OPINION commentator. News reporters make mistakes, and they should go to great lengths to make sure their statements of facts are correct. Opinion commentators are paid to express their thoughts, guesses, and predictions, and can not reasonably be held to the same standard. If I were Fox, that would have been my defense.
The other disappointing issue about this has been commented on.....Fox does not have to defend themselves in court, but on the other hand, neither does Dominion. I would have liked foe Dominion to answer ON RECORD some of the accusations against them.
All this is strictly my opinion. I wouldn't want to give anyone cause to sue me.
From what Iâve read the judge disallowed much of the evidence and witnesses for the defense Fox wanted to bring.

Alisyn Camerota said Fox makes a billion dollars in one year. And she said half of that is nothing to Fox She worked at Fox for 16 years before she went to CNN. I don't think that was just her opinion.
Don't believe me....read the link I posted - and watch the video of her saying it - to Jake Tapper one of her colleagues at CNN, among other CNN colleagues. And she said it live on the air.

Of course I believe you, Emily! I am not disagreeing with YOU, at all! I just don't agree with Allisyn's comment that 8 months of income is insignificant.
