Of course I believe you, Emily! I am not disagreeing with YOU, at all! I just don't agree with Allisyn's comment that 8 months of income is insignificant.

I think she pointed out that it sounds like a lot of money, and probably IS to D******n, but to FOX it's just a drop in the bucket. I believe that was her point.

I agree that was her point. I just disagree that the point was accurate. Can Fox afford it? Undoubtably. But a "drop in the bucket" makes it sound insignificant, and I don't think it is.
But that is just my opinion.

No, of course it is not insignificant. I don't think her pointing out that for D******n, half a billion+ is a pretty big chunk of change, and for FOX not so much, means the amount is insignificant. It's just not as significant for FOX as it is for D******n. Also, Alisyn left Fox under very bad conditions - she doesn't owe them anything. I think there was a lawsuit involved about harassment, but I didn't follow it.

What it looks like to me is a win-win for both of them.

CNN host Alisyn Camerota, who previously worked a Fox News for 16 years, was decidedly unimpressed with the settlement in D******n V****g Systems’ defamation lawsuit against Fox and rebutted her CNN colleagues on air insisting that Fox did not actually admit to any lies in the settlement.

“Were you surprised about what Fox did?” Jake Tapper asked Camerota about the $787.5 million dollar settlement.

“I haven’t been surprised by any of this, nor am I surprised by the settlement. I predicted there would be a settlement all along because Fox doesn’t want to air its dirty laundry in a court case,” Camerota replied, adding:

And forgive me, I don’t share quite Elie’s, I guess, being impressed at the outcome. This is half of what D******n asked for, let’s remember. And yes, obviously, it’s a big windfall for D******n. It’s chump change for Fox. They make more than $1 billion a year. Their news division.

And so this is I think this is a victory for Fox. They don’t have to put their big stars on the stand and they didn’t even have to issue a public apology. When you guys say that, they admitted that they lied....No, they didn’t! They’re saying that we we acknowledge the court’s findings that certain claims about D******n appear to be false. That doesn’t say we lied. That says they’re false. And they say certain claims. They’re not even saying they made those claims. They’re not even saying which hosts of theirs made their claims. I think that this is the best outcome that Fox could ever have hoped for."

Now they don't have to say anything on the air -- no "apology" because lying was NOT PROVED!
CNN host Alisyn Camerota, who previously worked a ... (show quote)

You're wrong, they admitted they lied in their depositions and personal emails.

When you say that Fox admitted that they lied YOU are the wrong one...No, they didn’t! Fox said that they acknowledge the court’s findings that certain claims about D******n appear to be false. That doesn’t say they lied....it says they’re false claims! And they say certain claims. They did NOT say THEY made those claims.

They don’t have to put their big stars on the stand now and they don’t have to issue a public apology....because they did not admit they lied, and D******n accepted that by settling.

This is what a CNN news host who worked at Fox for 16 years before she moved to CNN said ON THE AIR yesterday!!

If D******n really thought Fox lied about their machines, why would they settle for HALF the money and not go to court to win the whole amount???

Answer that, and you will see why you are wrong.

Show me those depositions and personal emails where they ADMIT they lied!!!

You can't, can you? Because if you can, I will admit I am wrong.

You believe the DNC controlled media. Therefore you are incapable of knowing T***h from lies. Not being very smart to begin with, you were easily g***med. Furthermore, you possess another quality desirous by the Left, a person of very low morals. You gravitated naturally towards your own kind.

Hey Slatts, hope everything is good with you and yours. Rolling Stone? Pretty left leaning. Support for unfounded claims is not exactly the same as lying. could say the same of those intelligence weenies that said there was Trump/ Russian collusion which was proved false.

He said "maybe", which would have meant bupkis in a court of law. He also said he did nothing about Mike Lindell's ads because "it's all about the green (meaning money). These exact quotes were in your linked article...Fox News did not endorse false claims....MAYBE some of their commentators did, but the corporation never said they did. And that's what the suit is about: FOX News. Not a person. He's greedy, but didn't sell out the corporation....just some of the commentators. Who still work there.

Life is going well for me J. Our Vet group had a great weekend which happened to include my birthday.

It's hard to read a left-lean in those quotes (not from Rolling Stone) but, from Rupert Murdock.

Murdoch. I imagine ideology takes a back seat where greenbacks are concerned. The spin was definitely left or anti-Fox. I don't really care. They all lie. Happy Birthday!

Agreed, though I do think FOX will have a black eye that will last for decades. Horrible that the left will bring this up as 'proof' FOX lies 'all the time', while they will continue to ignore the lies and obfuscation and exaggerations and political based manipulation and e******n i**********e of the MSM.
