do any of you Republican understand that the governor of the state has first recourse to ask for aid??

As thousands of residents of East Palestine, Ohio, struggle to find safe accommodation and tend to their alarming symptoms in the aftermath of a disastrous train derailment, Republican Governor Mike DeWine assured the public on Tuesday that he is “not seeing” any problems.

DeWine said this in response to a question on whether he was satisfied with the Biden administration’s response. DeWine contrasted himself from do-nothing Senator J.D. Vance, who complained (rightly) about the lack of a federal response; the Ohio governor said while he has spoken with President Biden, who offered assistance, he felt that no further assistance was needed.

Reporter: Senator Vance is on Fox critical of the Biden Administration.. Are you satisfied with the Biden Administration response?
DeWine: … The President called me and said anything you need. I will not hesitate to call him if we see a problem but I’m not seeing it.

The larger point is whether he went to Ohio, which he should have, Buttigieg and the head of EPA should have gone, at minimum, to observe the situation.

Yes, It should seem that way.. Now I have a conundrum.. it seems that someone made the statement that Biden was not wanted.. but I am not able to find it. so perhaps the excitement of the day or the wishes for togetherness took over and I am lost.. in short, I have no idea why the feuding has become so telling in the peaceful Ohio countryside..

Pete Buttplug can't go to Ohio, he might contact some of that poison and get it in his system. You know he's still breastfeeding, and his baby can't tolerate any poisons.

Did you hear there is another disaster? A paint/metal manufacturer has had two explosions. Multiple fire departments, injuries, debris, etc. It is somewhere outside Cleveland.

He's NOT seeing a problem????

What the PROBLEM is is that the people don't want Biden there. They know he will F things up as Obama so famously said about him...and they are correct. Biden will only make more of a mess.

They want - and are getting - Trump. And all the people who live near railroads all over the country are seeing this, as are ALL Americans who are watching closely how and what Biden does about this....which seems to be nothing. What a dud of a president!!

Biden would rather go to Ukraine and give them our tax dollars than help out Americans. And the people in Ohio now see with crystal clarity how much he really doesn't give a fig about them... It's very clear the longer he is president how much he absolutely doesn't care about Americans or America. This is just one more in a long series of BAD decisions that Biden could possibly make.

Biden is choosing to defend the west against a brutal expansionist dictatorship. He shoved his thumb in Putin’s eye when his predecessor kissed his ass. What this president has to do with an industrial accident is beyond me. The EPA is on the scene doing their job. This preventable accident was caused by a lack of regulation and oversight, you know those pesky burdensome safety and health standards your idiot pumpkinfuhurer proudly removed from the business community.

Your zealotry blinds you to biden’s ineptness. He’s an embarassment. Wake up

Exactly what regulations. Credible federal source link, please.

It is interesting; however, that as soon as he said he was going to visit the EPA showed up. Until that time, they had ignored the disaster. The only feds to show, prior to that, up were the NSTB.
