Crisis, economic crisis is how. The country was in trouble and we had leaders that saw this economic crisis as something the wealthiest people and corporations in this country needed to step up to the plate and help get the country out of trouble...that is patriotism on a grand scale. None of this whining and crying about paying 40% taxes on billion dollar revenues.
None of this bringing the country to it's knees making obscene profits while the country is in economic trouble, none of this zero taxes for companies making billions of dollars, or billionaire hedge fund managers paying 7% taxes on hundreds of millions of dollars because of their special interest loopholes.

Those who make a billion dollars can afford to pay 40 or 50 percent of it in taxes, taxes are after all expenses have been deducted from the taxable income or profits.
The mystery of the ages will always be why working class people would get so protective of people making hundreds of millions and billions of dollars...why is it they do not believe these are the people that should be helping the country out?

Corporations and religion needed to be watched . Otherwise they would start taking over peoples rights. And taking away power from the people’s government .
