Just why do you think any of NYS new laws regarding gun ownership is a bad idea? One has to undergo testing and road test for a driver's license, why not for owning a lethal weapon?

Well - Chicago is very close to Indiana, where guns are readily available. Anyone can get one there - crooks and law abiding citizens. Chicago can do nothing about that, except maybe build a wall!
