Why do people who are pushing liberal agendas always quote the bible out of context? Jesus never advocates laziness. Because they know most of the people are too lazy to check things out on their own. The media uses the same trick. So does the devil.

I think you have come up with the whole answer for us.

I had one serious thought when I read the introductory lines in that one. I have always wondered why the Food Stamp program had to be a part of the Farm Bill to such an extent that it was up to 80% of the cost of the bill. Isn't there some other way to provide that food from a bill about food stamps, only. I never managed to see many people talking about it as part of the Farm Bill that so many have been against and most of those who have been against Farm bills have been leaners who are part of why SNAP had become 80% of the cost of farm bills.

Can you answer any of my questions about this topic?

I think like all demoncrat bills they try to bury the actual cost in other bills so as making almost impossible to track actual expenses that some of their projects actually cost thus trying to cover up their true costs and confusing the issue which they are very adept at. Demoncrats are very good at slight of hand and selling us all snake oil and telling us how wonderful it is and how it will help all of us with all that ails this poor country. I am all for helping people it is when it gets into the fourth and fifth generation on the food stamp program that one wants to call it what it is and that is laziness and it has become a lifestyle. Idle hands have indeed become the devils workshop in the murders. drugs, and prostitution that is going on in these communities.

Back in the early 70s, my uncle who was a welder for the Los Angeles school district told me that many of those black "daddies" stayed "at home" till the welfare lady came to check on the family and they left for a couple of days then.

I don't really confuse black welfare mothers with white ones in that I once heard, back in the early 70s a woman talking to another woman in Texas saying "It is the best up here that I have ever seen. You need to get up here as fast as you can. We have very few blacks living here and all of them are male but we do have a herd of white welfare mommies who don't work but draw down that good welfare money for all their kids. The most kids I know of for one woman in our town is 7 but 5 is a very common number.

One of the funniest jokes I have ever heard about those welfare babies was the one about what pandemonium is in Harlem. Of course, the answer is Father's day.

Not too many people are unwilling to "help" people in need. The word "help" assumes that the person being "helped" is also doing something in kind o advance a goal. People that are not doing something along with those trying to "help" are not looking for "help" but looking for a "hand-out".

Ain't that the truth? I don't think many leaners understand that though.

The parable used in that piece was not about the talents. And the context is presented at the start: Luke11:1-13. This is not about being liberal but being Christian.

Pardon me while I wipe the puke off my chin.
What crap! In the last 4 years, our son has lost 4 jobs!
We've helped him, his wife and 3 children keep their home and lives together. We're old fashioned enough to believe people should take care of their own, not dump that responsibility on the general public.
I wouldn't go door to door to beg for food or for my neighbors to pay for my car or house. Why would I expect them to volunteer to do it? But I bet rhumitoid would have no problem with that. GRRRRRrr....

I had to stop and give some thought to these words at the beginning of that one. Of course, I knew what is going on from talking with my Congressman about this and knew that this writer didn't really know his hindquarters from page 9 about what was going on but was using his ignorance to stab at Republicans.

For the first time since the 1970s, there is no funding for food stamps (Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program) in the broad, bipartisan farm bill.

I will have to tell you that this is the most untrue part of all the things in this article that are untrue. SNAP was costing 80% of what was being spent on the Farm Bill and it was time to take it off the Farm Bill. Farmers were being accused of getting all that money and those on food stamps were spending 80% of the money.

No, SNAP has not been removed only transplanted, in other words a special law will be put in place to keep feeding those people and it won't appear that farmers are getting all of what Democrats wanted it to appear they were getting.

Do you and the author of that piece know anything about what I am talking about? I didn't think you did and knew that you preferred to make it appear the GOP House people were the really dishonest people when it wasn't ever them.

IF YOU REALLY NEED HELP I COULD SEE GETTING AND OR USEING FOOD STAMPS THEY ARE NOT FOR TOBACCO ALCOHOL OR CAR PAYMENTS; ETC ALL WELFARE IS A TRAP SET BY DEMS OR REPUBS AND NOT FOR LAYING ON YOUR BACK SO AS TO GET MORE STAMPS.

Am I THIS PERSON? If you would use the quote reply function we would know if you are calling us names. I would really like to discuss this subject with you but all I know is that you consider me, maybe, less informed about the topic than you are. Maybe you should explain what you mean instead of making such idiotic replies to somebody called this person.
