You have a very Western centric view of the world... "

Why thank you.

I grew up in the middle of the Cold War. The Soviets and the Red Chinese were the enemy. When Richard Nixon opened up China to split it away from the Soviet Union in the early 1970s there was hope that China would over time change into a Democracy and a friend, the way Japan did after WW2. China and Russia are not natural friends. Nixon took advantage of Chinese antagonism towards the Soviets at being treated as very junior partners.

While China has progressed amazingly economically, it is still largely Maoist in every other sense, and is thus just as much the enemy of my Country as Russia is. Neither the governments of Russia nor China trust their citizens enough to give up their monopoly of power, and they sure will never grant them the protections that the US Constitution grants it's citizens from the tyranny of bureaucratic whims.

China is in no way amazingly Maoist...

And it's amusing that China upheld their citizens Constitutional right not to take the vaccine, while America didn't...

Think about that

I find what you say, not only amusing, but positively amazing. Almost unbelievable. First off, since when do Chinese citizens have Constitutional rights ? Second of all this.

" Local Governmentsโ€™ Mandatory Vaccination Policies
In April 2021 the NHC proposed voluntary vaccination against COVID-19 based on informed consent.9 In practice, however, immunization against COVID-19 appears to be managed by local governments. For instance, several local governments have instituted parallel administrative instruments mandating COVID-19 vaccination for all residents in their jurisdictions, contrary to the central government guideline that vaccination should be voluntary.11 "

The US didn't quarantine people in their homes. And it's rather amusing that China is where the virus originated, yes?

The worst of the virus is over. Mandates are finished, masks are only required in medical settings. How is it working in China right now? According to Aljezerra, 4.5 million in the city of Jilin are being locked in their homes for 3 days. Or is this fake news?

China lost fewer than 10,000 (including Taiwan and Hong Kong)

How sad you smile at the death of millions. It shows the real inner you and its not a happy person. The number you quote is implausible. Hard to believe the CCP would report fictitious data but under reporting is a huge problem.

I find it amusing that the central government would pretend to care about it's own people enough to oppose the local entities. I can only speculate that the higher ups were mad at the local yokels about something else, and thought this would be a great public relations coup.

The Communist Party in China is like Putin in Russia. Power matters most. The welfare of the people is always secondary. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

As bad as the Democrats and Republicans are in America, they keep each other semi honest. Our Founding Fathers knew that the best way to prevent the government from tyrannizing the populace was to keep politicians at each others throats. One Crook watching another Crook. It's f**ked up, but it works better than what Putin is doing in Russia or what the CCP is doing in China.

The communist Party is made up of over 90 million individuals...Then there are the other 8 parties... Then there are the business interests and public opinion...

The higher ups weren't mad...Individual people were suing the local governments and winning... So the federal government stepped in for clarification...

You yet again demonstrate that your knowledge of government in Russia and China is lacking...

Why not devote some time to researching it???

In AmeriKA our Federal Government has checks and balances on it. Yes atrocities have occurred in American History, but there are mechanisms in the US that usually work. In China there is nothing to stop the Central Government from imprisoning you or killing you, once they have made up their minds.

I could stand in front of the White House and call Joe Biden a Jack Ass and nobody would touch me. If you stood in front of Xi's home and cursed him, I don't thing you'd be free very long.

We don't even know where Xi's house is๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

There are checks and balances in China as well...

Glad you recognize that atrocities happen everywhere

Xi's house is wherever he wants it to be. Lol. Rather than in front of his house, posting negative comments about official policy is sure to get you a free trip to the re-education play land?
