Perhaps we could establish a few basic foundational facts we can both agree on, before getting this puddle any muddier?
You said;
"Well now, we do live in nation where a great majority of citizens profess to be Christians, do go to church, and do vote their preferences at the polls.
Thus their votes could well have been *influenced by the church* or Christian thought , and will most likely continue to do so in the future".
I'm saying;
I have questions concerning what Professing Christian Pastors, Preachers, and Teachers are *teaching and preaching as being *Christlike behavior.
If we look at what Jesus himself said about the manner in which we are to conduct ourselves, as we live within society as his Followers;
Lets look at His statements, and list of required behavior, and Compare these to *what is being said from the pulpits that influence voters today.
Matthew 7
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Wherefore By Their Fruits Ye Shall Know Them.

What are these fruits Jesus is speaking of?

Galatians 5--Apostle Paul provides a short list;
But the fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith,
Meekness, Temperance: against such there is no law.

Jesus lays it all down in no uncertain terms;
KJV Matthew Chapter 5
I will leave off the copy and paste routine, asking you to read the chapter.
And if you could also read what "Dominion Theology" is truly all about.
{this is, what is being preached as Christianity now}

“Seven mountains” refers to the thinking that seven major areas of human life need such Christian influence: education, religion, family, business, government/military, arts/entertainment, and media.

What is the difference between; status quo i.e. separation of church and state-- American Capitalism, Democratic Socialism, True Communism, and a Theocracy?
Which form of government / society would you prefer to live in?

Moochie, to your last question and its meaning, there is no such thing as true separation of church and state. One has to read Constitution Amendment I very carefully. We are prohibited from establishing a national church, but not prohibited from involving the church in all daily life. As to the rest of that question, I am perfectly satisfied with our Constitutional Republic form of government, but I am most certainly against presidents that push out beyond its legal provisions as Obama and Biden have done. I am most thoroughly against any form of Collective government such as Socialism or Communism in any of its forms.

I do believe that Christianity offers a true path for society to follow, so long as it is not a full-blown Theocracy, or a Dominion in your terms.

Since I do not attend any church at this time, mainly due to poor health, I cannot attest to the trend you speak of for ministers, nor can I believe my Episcopal church would do that. However, if I had to choose between a Theocracy and either Socialism or Communism, I believe I would choose a Theocracy. I do not know the full consequences of a Theocracy to my way of life, so I reserve my option to reassess the situation going forward! It is my hope that such a choice would never occur.

Having read your references, I am opposed to this trend of a new evangelical approach, and I can only harken back to the Episcopal church of my upbringing and life till now. That is where I am dwelling.

The Seven Mountains concept is deficient in my opinion: I have identified over 26 domains of importance to life. I apply my Christian ethics in each case.

Thank you for your civil, and comprehensive reply,
I, like Yourself, would much rather live under the New Testament Law Of 'Grace.
Psalm 136
O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for "His Mercy Endureth For Ever".
Although Jesus isn't a dictator, he provided 'free will', for us all.
2nd Peter 3
Nevertheless we, according to his Promise, look for New Heavens and a New Earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

But,...we are living in This Present World Condition;
Romans 5:12
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

We all have a common adversary;
2 Corinthians 4:4
In whom "the god of this world" hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious "*Gospel of Christ*", who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

The way out;
2 Corinthians 6:17
Wherefore "Come Out From Among Them", and Be Ye Separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
[it's not a forced entry, it is by "Each Individual's Choice"
i.e. America's Secular Government has No place, No right, in Our Choice]
{A Theocracy Would Remove That Choice--no thanks}

Sundays are for those who Desire, and Choose, to attend Spiritual Church.
KJV The *Gospel According To Jesus Christ* and The Apostles
Matthew 28:19--John 3:1-7--Matthew 16:19--Acts 2:38-39

I remain vehemently opposed, to Trump and the Evangelicals & Catholics For Trump Coalition, Church and State goals for America.

Jesus Christ asked for a coin to explain 'it' to the Pharisees
He saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?
They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them,
"Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's".

Sincerely,
moochie

Moochie, I do not grasp your view of Trump. I cannot believe he champions Dominionism above all other Christian views. I can believe that he welcomes their support, however, as he needs all the votes he can get...

Thank you for your reply.
I'll make this short, and straight to the point.

“The more someone believed the United States is and should be a "Christian Nation", the more likely they were to vote for Trump.” In fact, they found that it was The Single Greatest Religious Predictor that a voter would support Trump in 2016.

https://www.newsweek.com/bill-barr-most-dangerous-attorney-general-us-history-richard-w-painter-religious-extremism-1479858
Former White House Ethics Chief under President George W. Bush described Attorney General William Barr as the "most dangerous" in United States history, citing what he described as religious zealotry.
Richard W. Painter shared a New York Times opinion article Tuesday saying that Barr is on a Theocratic Mission and is using Justice Department power to promote "religious nationalism." Painter argued that Barr is "subverting the Constitution" and appealing to "conservative evangelicals" for support. The former Bush administration attorney also touted a congressional candidate in Indiana who was the lone Notre Dame University Law School faculty member to publicly criticize what he called
Barr's "dominionist rant" there in an October speech.

However, The Woke Crowd and Leftist want to discard anything that came before, especially Western Civilization.
