OK, take this through biological reasoning. (Almost) all animals and even plants start out as egg & sperm. Each of these, when fertilized, becomes an ovum and requires the adult to furnish some sort nutrition, be it the fruit/nut of the plant or the albumin of the eggs or the placental organ of those animals that give live birth. With EACH of these, the adult FEMALE gives up the offspring during maturation and whatever the method of nutrition of the ovum is released to the offspring. A pea seed is not "part of the adult pea", it's unique in and of itself. Same with ant other seeds, externally or internally fertilized eggs. Each mother sloughs off the offspring with their source of nourishment and that slough is the offspring not the mother.
Backing the argument a bit - does a mommy plant or seal or ape or human have the ripe ovum, the placenta, the source of nourishment present in their bodies before the offspring presents itself? NO! Therefore, that "new product" is not of the mother but of the baby. Even the DNA says so, as it is the same as the embryo, not the mother.
The baby is clearly separate from the mother
