Did you know that nothing is truly organic All of earth is contaminated by the use of nuclear weapons years and years ago. Right now our west coast is getting creamed by Japan's disaster a few years ago. So yeah go ahead US OR RUSSIA. Start a nuclear war. Sure as we are here today we will ALL BE GONE tomorrow.

I went to a very old elementary school in New York. The school also had a new addition. It depended where you were in the school when the alarms went off where you took cover. In the old part we went into the hallway and leaned against the walls with the smaller students pushed between the walls and the older students. In the new part of the school we went under our desks. Lol everyone knows how many of us would be saved by our desks right! Does anyone remember playing outside at home when the alarms went off? We would all have to rush inside what ever house was closest and hide in Those smelly old basements.the Police would patrol the streets to see that we were all inside. Yea, such happy childhood memories!!

I do remember those days and the go to the nearest neighbor's house to take cover. Think about the differences today. Obviously, going to the nearest neighbor rule would not have saved any children but think of the huge differences between then and now. Not all things were bad back then. The consideration of a child going to a stranger's house wasn't even thought of as a possible endangering of the child by a stranger. There was a sense of safety in our neighborhoods and the possibility of child endangerment wasn't even thought of. Can you imagine the government recommending a child be entrusted to a stranger today. The first thing people of today would think about is the danger the stranger would present to the child. They would rather take their chances with an atomic bomb than to trust a neighbor. Has this country deteriorated or what?

That is one of the most absurd things I have ever read. If the area is so bad, then clean the area up instead of punishing an obviously good caring parent. The judge needs to be fired. All this liberal PC BS is just that BS. Something needs to be done about these people that have been put in charge. On top of that, what is that neighbor doing picking up[ an 8 year old. Why wasn't she put in jail for child abuse or an unlawful abduction of a minor. That would be equally stupid but it is the same thing. Ridiculous crap.

It was a back road "highway" in a rural area to make it even worse. It was probably further to walk off road to a neighbors house than to walk home on the highway.
