I can't think of any socialist policies he implemented, but concerning women's rights and animal rights he was quite progressive...
Fascism is the extreme end of the right-wing ideological spectrum and Communism is the extreme end of the left-wing ideological spectrum.
And while it may be true that neither of us understands socialism I would venture to say that the vast majority don't have any idea what makes up their ideology. The difference between Liberals and conservatives is that liberals understand that Communism is part of their ideological makeup and therefore know to avoid it. Conservatives however haven't a clue that fascism is part of their ideological therefore are helpless to change course as they move towards it.
Isn't this what Trump preached constantly and what greater victimization than to have the election stolen from you by evil-doing liberals? And the thing is conservatives had no idea what Trump was doing or how he was playing to their worst instincts. Instincts that ended in an insurrection in our nation's Capitol.
