I have one that was proposed by the late author Robert Heinlein; any legislation must be understandable by anyone with a college education, without having to resort to a $500/hour inside the beltway lawyer to translate it from Legalese into English. Failure to do this would result in loss of one years salary and 30 days in jail, on a labor detail. Second Offense, 60 days and 2 years salary. We MUST have term limits, not only congressional, but especially in the Federal Judiciary. Federal Judges are confirmed by the Senate, to lifetime appointments. Whichever party is in the majority holds all the cards. It is naive in the extreme to expect a judge who has just received a highly paid, lifetime sinecure to remain unbiased. If their political views were not in line with the majority party, they would not have been nominated in the first place.
