Trump's plan also spurred something I've never seen before in my lifetime. My stepdaughter works for Walmart, ( 25 years), and she along with every other long term worker got a $1,000 bonus. Every Walmart employee got something, even new hires got raised up to $12.50 per hour. Other companies did this as well, not all, of course, but a lot did.
So, who will pay for Biden's 3.9 trillion dollar plan?

Is it because fixing America will cost money? Or was infrastructure the same as Trumps promised health care bill that was never proposed.

Republicans DO want an infrastructure bill. One that does more good than harm. One that actually DOES infrastructure work, and is not primarily a cash cow for democrats and their support organizations. One that we can afford to pay for. A Trump infrastructure bill never went anywhere because of democrat unending obstruction to ANYTHING Trump proposed. This includes healthcare and much else Trump could have accomplished.
So explain this: Just why do democrats suddenly WANT this kind of infrastructure bill, when they opposed any such thing tooth and nail for the last four years? And if it was needed a decade ago.....hmmmm....who was President then? Who was Vice-President? Food for thought.

You seemed ill informed. Democrats use these crisis to funnel money to their cronies. Like the last Corona Bill. 9 % went to what the propaganda media said it went to. Any new infrastructure bill likely will be mostly pork for Democrat run states. This is why Republicans would be against it.

Depends on how one defines 'infrastructure'. Without getting into the politics of it, I think the pandemic has shown that our system of health care, education, and elder care are due for a major upgrade. It's not just the roads and airports that are infrastructure. Call it a leftist wish list if you like, but limiting infrastructure to roads and bridges seems to ignore some of the lessons learned during the pandemic.

Oh stop....Trump never produced a health care plan and he had the House and Senate during his 1st infrastructure weeks in the 115th Congress. Neither health care nor infrastructure were a priority of his.

I will NOT stop. Trump was tied up with non-stop attacks by the democrats, and a complete lack of support from the never-Trumper rinos in Congress. He did not ever have the political support to advance either healthcare or infrastructure. And he had to fight tooth and nail to achieve the successes he did have.
