Great idea! Do you read minds? Can you foretell the actions of crazy demented criminals? Read palms? Read tarot cards?
Stop every drunk who decides to drive?
If you can see into the future, and could’ve stopped every crime, which happened just today, then YOU’RE CULPABLE and should be punished!
If the people around the Colorado culprit didn’t stop him, who’s going to do it? The government?
So, let’s assume that you can’t predict when and who are going to commit crimes. But, you’re going to punish me for crimes committed by someone else(?) You’re going to restrict or eliminate my rights(?)
Why?

Kennedy thinks it would be a good idea

Why use a gun if you’re a Kennedy? Just drown em in a car.
If china joe can't outlaw guns just wait until he seriously restricts ammunition
Machine Guns Are 'Legal' (But Here Come All the Catches)
Here's What You Need To Remember:
Since 1934 no legally owned machine gun has been used in a crime.
This goes back to the National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA), which was enacted as part of the Internal Revenue Code, and was the first federal regulation of the manufacture and transfer of firearms. The NFA restricted the sales, ownership, use, and transport of short-barreled rifles and shotguns, machine guns, silencers and suppressors, and an all-encompassing "destructive device." The latter included such things as modern artillery, rocket launchers, and military explosives.
However, the law "restricts" but it does not "prohibit" and that is something that has been misunderstood and misreported for years.
When buying any NFA item, patience isn't a virtue, it is required.
There is no way to rush the process and generally takes around nine months.

Not really. However; it’s obvious you couldn’t rebut my points.
And you guys think that this is going to work? Think ghost guns, dark web, and black market like Shenzen, China.
A sanity check is an Asinine suggestion. One in order for a person to be prohibited from owning a gun because of the sanity issue, that it is a legal determination required by a competent psychologist and adjudicated as such in the court of law...
I support background checks and I support people who have been legally deemed incompetent not having the privilege of owning a gun. But I do not support someone saying you’re crazy and therefore you cannot get a gun...
Big difference in an accusation versus a legally defined adjudicated finding. Start giving up your rights of one and you’ll eventually lose all!!! Again maybe that doesn’t bother you?

There will be a lucrative black market if idiot Joe does this. The cartels will love it and those, such as myself, that know how to make ghost gun will be in demand.
We don’t need more laws, we need to enforce the laws already on the books and stop pleaing out those who use weapons illegally or in crimes...

And you can bet those black markets are just waiting for it to take place. Sales will escalate like they have never seen before if they aren’t already in anticipation of P brain biden...

Along with our own black markets here.

Many law abiding citizens will become felons overnight. By the way, I’m meeting with my attorney Thursday. He is intrigued about my idea of using an irrevocable trust to own someone’s guns. He’s been researching. Will keep you posted.

Thank you for making my point. Background checks need to be beefed up to include the applicant's circle
Appears you are conditioned to give up your rights.
Firearms are federally regulated in Canada. The federal 1977 Criminal Law Amendment Act, as amended, prohibits automatic weapons and sawed-off shotguns and rifles.
It is illegal for anyone, except (for the most part) the police and the military, to possess them.
Canada is a parliamentary democracy:
its system of government holds that the law is the supreme authority. ...
Hence, it is a “representative” system of government.
The federal legislature is bicameral: it has two deliberative “houses” or “chambers” — an upper house, the Senate, and a lower house, the House of Commons.
