That would be a dream for the Democrats. It would bode well for 2016. California and Texas together have almost 1/3 the electoral votes needed to elect a president.

Did ya'all ever realize that a good hunk of "southerners" are actual northeners who moved down south for warmer weather? My roots are all in Maine, Connecticut and New York. My dad hated the cold weather. We moved. So I would watch who you approach! The New Yorkers are the ones to REALLY be careful with. Good people...but they won't take nothin from no one. And the southerners you call animals would give you the last cup of water they had if you needed it. Best people there is. So shut up about southerners. :hunf:

Yup your right they will give a cup of water. But the hell with food stamps, healthcare, Medicad,unemployment, fair taxation, collective bargaining, or anything associated with the poor or middle class. I call it the hypocritical south. But the southern states get more money from the Fed than the northern states. For every dollar in tax revenue from the red States they average $1.35 back from the Fed. So keep your cup of water and support your own states. In education the worst states are red states. 9 out of the top 10 are red states. So I can understand why you vote red no education
