Get woke!!!!
I didn't get woke but I sorta got a slap in the face...sorta. The other day ( 2 maybe 3), Biden was very proud of an appointee that he couldn't remember his name. Then, he spoke about an agency that has been closed since 1979 as thought it was still up and running!Somebody on Facebook posted it and I saw it...it was right there. Yesterday, I tried to find it on the web and POOF! it couldn't be found! I looked and looked. Facebook's Mark Zukerburg announced that Facebook would delete any posts that contained any negative speculation about the stealection.
WHAT? Am I living in America or 1940 NAZI Germany?
They can rename the city and the school, "Castro, after their infamous "Castro District where all the chicken eaters live and the women are safe."

Who cares?
You are correct about who cares about statues. California is again due for a major earthquake. I had a friend a number of years ago who with another was taking core samples from various points around California. In their core samples they were discovering a story of earthquakes in California from centuries past. Don’t understand exactly how but they had some ideas. Don’t know if they ever published or not but their conclusions were interesting. Earthquakes in Alaska have created tsunamis along the western coast of the continent. If the San Andreas were to move in the Pacific off shore of California could it cause a Tsunami that could create major damage to San Francisco? A thought. Remember that each decimal point on the Richter Scale increases the quake by a multiple of 10. The 1906 SF quake was estimated to be 7.9 on the scale. I believe the scale goes to 9 or maybe more.
I can’t find it now but I have read about a 500 year time line where a major earthquake will occur on the San Andreas. It is supposed make the 1906 San Francisco quake look small. Ulrich and his friend had theorized that no culture such as the Pueblo, Aztec, or Mayan had occurred in California because of the 500 year intervals that cause such massive destruction that all human building would be destroyed. They also theorized that the migration routes were to the east of California through the desert because of the earthquakes. Don’t know if that was true or was because the route was more direct to Mexico and the Southern Continent.

I wonder how much these people's lives changed for the better after tearing down statues, I am sure that they will have forgotten about it after two days
No one is better for having torn down anything.
Most of them probably will not really even know why they are doing it. The millennials are such sheep they just follow the flock. Most liberals are "low information" types that learn little in school since that is all about "indoctrination" anymore.

I am not sure of the accuracy of this source, but lets take it at face value. We are judging President Lincoln by the standards of today and not by the standards of his time. By the existing standards that Lincoln lived under, he likely was not racist.
Now lets us address some of the specific charges of racism. That the Civil War was fought to preserve the Union and not to end slavery. How is that an example of Lincoln's racism ? Lincoln's first responsibility was to preserve the country, and slavery was an existing condition that was not easily destroyed.
As far as opposing inter racial marriage, in Lincoln's time that would have been an explosive issue. Lincoln was a political figure and being in favor of it likely would have doomed him from ever being President. If he was never President the end of slavery comes much later in American history.

Yet that is exactly what today’s ‘woke liberals’ and BLM are doing throughout the country.

I want to come back in two hundred years and judge these freaks by the standards of that time. Knock down their monuments and burn their writings.

I am not sure of the accuracy of this source, but ... (
show quote)
Ending slavery in no way proves he was not racist... And by his own words he was fine with the institution...
