Side story: I got totally hooked on a baby condor in California who recently survived one of the awful fires there. The nest is high up in a redwood tree and the web cam stayed up and focused on the baby condor right up until the fire burned the wires that connected the cam. I could hear the fire burning, crackling below as we (the viewers) watched the whole thing right to the end. For about 2 weeks no one knew what happened to the baby bird, but just a couple of days ago the researchers were able to get to the tree and found the little guy alive, and the mother, too, was back to feeding it. What an amazing thing to be able to see from right here in my living room, 2,000 miles away, (and with a good ending, too.)

Your Parrot tale gets you 5 Stars & I'll will take your word about naked mole rats. Have a friend whose Parrot only eats table food & wants some of every food item that's on the table. If he has a 13 course dinner & only gives the bird 12 items this bird will raise holy hell till he/she gets the omitted item, will not accept a duplicate. Does sound like a 'she Dem" to me.
