Agree. Everyone has an agenda. Statistics tells us that a country the size of the U.S. with 330 million and 170,000 deaths Should have way less deaths than China. However; China with a population of more than a billion people reports about 5000 deaths. Someone is lying, or both.

The numbers have never made sense and the way deaths have been determined leads to inflated reports of deaths attributed to COVID.

I can’t believe in less than 100 days we have let the Government and CDC turn the majority of Americans into sheeple. The Democrats want to double down on such nonsense. Mandatory masks, mandatory social distancing and more to come.

How do governors and local governments get a handle when everything is opened up as "normal"? It takes total quarantine and identifying who has it. It's not rocket science, we did the quarantine and trump did not get the testing and tracing in gear, he didn't even try.
I live in California we gave been in shutdown pretty much from the start and we still high up in deaths numbers!

This will happen. CDC says mortality rate is between .2 and 1.5%. Pretty low all things considered and even less for kids. What’s the alternative? Millions of small businesses gone. Kids who aren’t socially experienced. Millions out of work and a broke govt. tracing Americans as to where they go and who they interact with. Not for me.
Death isn't the only concern. The overall death rate in comparison to the number of cases is low. A bigger concern is long term side effects. Another concern is spreading the virus among more at risk groups.

WOW! Shut everything down? Talk about breaking a nation! But, perhaps that is what COVID was designed to do.
Other nations who shut down and mandated wearing masks were able to reopen successfully.

First, I’d let Governors and local authorities handle their situations. I would support States with Covid relief funds. I would listen to the medical and economic experts. Personally, I would recommend state put most of their resources to supporting their most at risk population. For the rest I would advise open up the economy, and open up the schools. Masks would be personal choices except where mandated by business and schools. Don’t shut down businesses or schools because a kid or employee tests positive. Treat Covid like the flu. Feel sick stay home. Real sick go to the hospital. Will people die? Of course. Will people die no matter what we do? Of course. Americans should. Don’t live life in fear. If businesses shut down much longer we will be a third world economy.

I'd be all over Hydroxychloroquine in a New York minute. President Trump suggested it last March and he was excoriated for it.
Two nations - India and Uganda - are the most Malaria ridden countries on earth. Malaria is the leading cause of death in Uganda, and India makes up 75% of Malaria cases in all of SE Asia. Both countries have been using HCQ to treat Malaria. Since Covid struck both countries have experienced remarkable success with HCQ as a prophylaxis in preventing Covid infections and treating early cases.
Think about it. Uganda, with a population of 47 million, has recorded 1,848 cases and 19 deaths. That is less than one death per 100,000 people.
India, with 1.4 billion people, the second most populous country on earth, currently has 2,973,368 confirmed cases and 55,928 deaths. That is 3 deaths per 100,000 people.
California, with a population of 39.5 million, has 650,336 confirmed cases and 11,821 deaths. That is 30 deaths per 100,000 people.

Medical positions were changed as doctors learned more about the virus and how it's spread.
Where is everything open? Fairyland?

Exactly. So put resources towards the most at risk. There are more ways to die than Covid. Either let this virus run its course or live in fear, shutdowns, and a lower quality of life. I’ll take freedom.

These lockdowns are dehumanizing us, J, the emotional and psychological impact of shutting down businesses, throwing millions out of jobs, closing schools, churches, recreation, entertainment, and forcing people into anonymity with masks is horrendous. And, it has put an enormous burden on health care pros and first responders. Children are having a really bad time.

Some of those nations are the size of one of our states. The Chinese have been wearing masks for decades and they got the virus. Some of those countries stats are very suspect.
I agree. Can’t believe how terrified some of the people I talk to are. I won’t live like that.

Do we do that with all of the variations of the flu? Strep, staff infections?
And before you go all expert on me sandwich maker, I know the difference between viral, and bacterial infections.
This is a bunch of overblown bullshit.

Wrong, again .A LOT of the tests were, and are. faulty, especially those shipped from China, giving as much as 40% false positive (and negative results). You can do nearly as well with a coin toss.. Protective gear was another dilemma. There was a shortage brought about by the CHINESE having cornered the market on every face mask. Trump went into high gear and was working with AMERICAN factories to start making this equipment. What he did in regards to respirators was more amazing. New York and other cities ended up having superfluous supplies, but no Americans died due to a lack of a ventilator.
