Right, right, speculators have run amuck, but just cause we deregulated energy doesn't mean we can't reregulate it. They seem to want to regulate everything else :) but as far the economy I m pretty sure its done for, they spend money like its free cause we let them. I mean really, we let em, for example-like what do these broke budgeted agencies like the post office, epa, nooah, and social security need so many guns and ammo for? Priorties are all screwed up. Its easy to cast blame when both sides of this are so crooked, but leaving this on the next generation is just wrong, they deserve better and remember they 'll be the ones taking care of us someday.

Actually the Post Office is not broke in fact they are very profitable. The reason why they are not profitable according to the GOP is because Bush put a regulation on them that they have to pay over a10 years 75 years in retirement money. And also Bush took the Post Office money and put it into the general fund to lower his debt. Our buddies on the right like to tell you how much money it cost to run the Post Office but do not tell you how much they take in.

Well that's an answer, but it still doesn't make sense why its still going on now, unless Obama is just as corrupt, I mean if he's working the same tricks then why has the deficit gone up so much more? Just sayin. Do you know why they re buying so many guns and ammo by any chance? Last I checked we usually wanted to keep guns from them, thus the saying "going postal". :)

Well if memory serves me right my buisness was pretty strong during those 6 yrs and wasn't until 2007 I started showing negative gains, by 2009 I was closing the doors and had to get a j o b w/ the state, and unlike the EPA I don't get to sit around watching porn all day.

I agree, its amazing how much money was thrown at the Obama campain, if all reps are fat rich guys shouldn't Romney have raised more money. Maybe we should compare who takes in the most money and vote for the other guy, atleast that's less tax dollars they ll give back to them later ( BP, solindra).

Wow and you blame that on Obama he did not take office till 2009. When Obama took office we were losing 750,000 jobs a month the stock market went to 6500 the banking industry was under water the housing industry collapse Obama had nothing to do with that. That was Bush. You and many others got caught in that mess.

Did I blame Obama ? I was mostly blaming an anept congress, that was too busy playing politics to get anything of signifigance done (sound fimiliar, if not it will). And yes, the country wasn't in the best shape when Obama took over ( w/ 2 yrs of dem controlled congress), but I can garantee you we are worse off now both at home and abroad, don't let the pumped up numbers fool ya, keep in mind these are the same people that said the sequester would cost 100,000 jobs and it cost 1. I mean, look you can't blame Bush for everything he did wrong and exempt Obama from everything he doing wrong. Don't get me wrong they're both crooks (what do you expect they're from lawyers the truth). I was saying that life was much better for people who actually worked, before the Dem. regime ( maybe you don't have to work ). Do you really think the middle class is better off now?

No middle class not better off that's because the tea party folks have blocked every piece of legislation that would help. How is the upper 3% of wage earners doing in this country. There wages over the last 30 years had gone up over 290 % but the middle class earnings have only gone up 7%. So trickle down economics clearly have not worked. During the prior administration and through republican governors they have destroyed unions which is the middle classI need to know something tell me one bill that the GOP has sponsored that help the middle class. Will doing this we have put 20% of the middle class and pushed them into poverty wages. Which means one thing 20% of middle class that pays the lion share of taxes pushed them into poverty and now they qualify for assistance through our entitlement programs that is a lot of lost revenue. Now what the GOP is advocating is lower corporate taxes while not eliminated loopholes . Eliminate min wage that means lower wages and more corporate earnings. How much cash has to go to the upper 3% before we do something. I am not saying that some of the things Obama has done is right. No but when will the GOP get into the conversation. They just block or filibuster anything that might help the middle class. Is there a certain amount of secrecy that evolves around the executive branch of course every president has done that. When tragedies hit this country such as Benghazi congress would discuss how the problem occurred and how to prevent it in the future and not come out with these conspiracy theory. We have spent way to much money on some CIA talking points for Sunday talk shows all administration put out talking points every week to make the rounds on talk shows. I hope that you do not take this wrong I am just looking for someone that will have a reasonable conversation and just deal with facts .

Furthermore, if inflation is taken into account, I believe the lower middle and lower class wages are actually negative (gone down) from where they were.

Inflation still has yet to take full effect and won't till we get the spending under control. You can't spend ten dollars to make 2. Also keep in mind the dems had full control over congress and still did nothing for the middle class, nobody to fillibuster and who got rich? Now he wants to use that leverage to control schools roads and police because they had to meet goverment mandates that noone could afford, and yes there is a fine line between poverty and the middle class . Now as far as Bengazi both parties are to blame, Bengazi was just a hub for weopons to Syria, the beef w/ the talking points is he flat out lied to the American people to act like he still has some control in the middle east. Funny how this transparent regime(as holder called it) has to be forced to release info. Next your gonna tell me that IRS did nothing wrong when the tea partiers (people who just want the rights they have been garenteed) were audited 10xs the averge amount of 1% keep in mind the house of reps. best represents the will of the people not just the electorial college.

Truth be known, the demise of the middle class goes clear back to Raygun and his economic policies and the busting of unions. This has been a process going on for a long time. Read "the Man who Sold the World". by William Kleinknecht.

yes some unions were dismanteled but the ones still around have become lazy. I'm an engineer I see them all the time. Why do you think there's 8 guys working on the side of the road and only 2 laborers doing anything. Operators won't even get they're big butt up to move a shovel if its in they're way they ll just sit there like a bump on a log for ten minutes waiting for someone else to move it. Why do you think Detroit is bankrupt.Must those greedy republicans again. Look I don't like them either but some point in time Obama is going to have to start taking responcibility for his actions. Yes every prez has to deal w/ remaing probs from the last administration.

My experience is just the opposite of yours, and I can't speak to your field. I went to work as a scab for Continental Airlines during the Frank Lorenzo days(mid 80's). What I saw was everybody from the bag busters on up busting our asses while CEO after CEO came and went each leaving with a huge golden parachute while we worked for wages far below standard. I unfortunately had to medical out, but since the union came back and guess what? While it is still a very competitive industry the companies are making it with the worker bees being paid decently, better working conditions, still busting their asses, but happy to do it.

As to rayguns economic polices and the middle class here's but one link. I'd do more, but I got stuff to do.

Yeah, I hear ya on the Reagan front not a big fan myself (not a republican). Also try and keep in mind that was almost 30 yrs ago w/ the airline unions, and I have no examples to work w/ there, but I do know what unions did in europe from 1978-79. I appreciate the info and thanks for the conversation.
